This time, the winner is Fallout 1.

I HATE Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I tried several times to play those game but, no matter what, after a while I get bored.
Dialogues are boring, so the things you must do, and the fact that locations are pretty much a huge desert didn't help.

So I approched Fallout 1 carefully, but...it was an amazing game. No boring dialogues at all, every one adds something to the story or the game world, gameplay was brilliant, you can solve a lot of situations in different ways.

Locations are great, and the game is not too long (i completed it in about 7 hours, I think).

Next game: Fallout 2, then probably Icewind Dale 1.

Word of warning though and minor spoilers but I am not giving away the exact plot or names.

Fallout 2 is ridiculously difficult in the beginning of the game because basically you start off nearly naked with only a spear. If your using a sniper/gunner build the first half of the game screws you over with no guns. I was so happy when I found a Pistol.

Also the biggest warning you have to know:

DO NOT PUT AWAY QUEST/PLOT IMPORTANT ITEMS AWAY IN STORAGE EVEN YOUR OWN CAR ALWAYS KEEP IT WITH YOU!!!!

Lets just say in my playthrough I decided to put a plot important item that leads to the final level in a locker of inside a Brotherhood of Steel base. So after I felt confidant in confronting the final level I went back to the storage only to find the item I placed there missing thus rendering the game unbeatible.

Heed these warnings Snake for Fallout 2 will crush you body, mind, and soul with its first half.

Play 1. Play 2. Then try New Vegas once again (it kind of continues the story and has pretty decent writing, at least in my opinion). If you can get used to the mechanics, you can try 3 (separate story set in different part of the US, main story gets terrible pretty soon - once again, personal opinion).

Careful! You might make me install it again!
I finished Fallout 1 last year and then chose Geneforge 1 for the game for the turn based RPG slot in my playlist - I'm really enjoying it - recommended!

Fallout 3 was my first venture into the Fallout universe. I loved it, but I love all of the Bethesda games since they give me this incredible freedom to do anything I please. I actually picked up F3 again over Christmas, but didn't have a chance to finish it before I had to travel back to school. I'll get it done over the Summer, I'm sure.

Tried my hands on Fallout 1 a while ago, but didn't quite get into it since a mountain of homework appeared out of nowhere and I ran out of free time for quite a while. I'm sure I'll pick it up again at some point.

On the subject of finished games - I just finished Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney today! Next up is GTA: Chinatown Wars and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, which I almost finished before I went home for Christmas. :)

Punished_Snake: Next game: Fallout 2
Fallout 2 is superb game. It was my first cRPG ever and no other game ever beat it. As Elmofongo wrote - its a bit hard at the beginning as you start with spear only (you can improve it a bit if you are perceptive :-P) but it is not really drawback in my book.. Slow progress in guns was just another reason why this game was so great and each time I leveled up from spear to pistol, from pistol to rifle etc. I had fun and sense of achievement....

The only REAL disappointment of F2 is that its soundtrack is in 95% the one from F1 (there are maybe 2 extra tracks). Shame MM didn’t compose completely new tunes just for F2.

Played Fallout 1 years ago. Started Geneforge 1 a couple of weeks ago. I second the recommendation for both of them wholeheartedly.
Thanks for the tips, guys :)

Now I'm solving a problem, simply I can't view decent colors for the game. The screen is all bad, I'm searching a way to fix this.

Don't forget the restoration project. It fixes lots of annoying bugs (especially with the car) and adds lots of things which were left out at release.
