After that Aussie guy.. Keith Vaz is another who got a new computer and decided to see what those games actually are. I guess.
Can't wait for Thompson to get a good connection, and hardware, and play something.

Unlikely as Thompson is not familiar with the concepts "connection", "hardware", and "play".
He is only familiar with the concepts "bible", "biblical", "sin", and "hypocrite".

Wearing my cynicism hat, which is dark brown with a wide brim, I would say that several astounding realisations have come over Mr Vaz.
1)The video game industry is a growing market, and it would be in everyones best interest if the UK gaming industry did not wither and die.
2) The government he is a part of is almost certainly going out the door in a few months, and he would probably rather hold on to his seat, even as a member of the opposition.
3)I don't buy it for one second, you flip-flopping, favour-currying asshat.

Or perhaps his kids play some GoW crap, or maybe he has those aforementioned middlemen..
Anyhow, one less to cause a fuss, even if it's just to maintain a/get a better public image.

Exactly. I'm less inclined to respect his opinion now than when he was a staunch opponent of the industry.
