I bought the box version for, converted to ~US$35. Completed the campaign and I love it. Then again I'm a sucker for building type of games. Nah it's not that complicated, you'll have to make decisions or what to build and how u wanna place them. If you play Simcity 2000, I really don't see how you find Anno is complicated.

the only complicated part is making truly efficient building layouts.
