My sister mentioned a game called Angry Birds to me so I went looking for PC. Other than a free offer to UKers only, I couldn't find any place selling it but upon entering Media Fire from a Google search, it just offered the game up to me.

It's a free host website for files, like rapidshare and other.
This is most probably an illegal copy of Angry Birds.

Why has it become so much easier to find warez than the place actually selling these games?

Going to have to see if I can get the name of the developer and search the developer's site.

I'm not aware of any PC platform Angry Birds ports, but you can grab and Android Emulator and download it for free from the Google App Store.

I believe Angry Birds is only sold for mobile devices.

There is a version of Angry Birds for the PC and Mac - I've seen it on the Mac App store and looking at Rovio's site I came across an Intel appup store with Angry Birds on it. There is an Angry Birds-lite which is free for the Mac - I don't know if it is on the PC. I can't say if the version you found is legit or not a disaster waiting to happen though. :)

It's on the Intel AppUp service...exclusively I am pretty sure. I just posted about that service because of another game I found that seems to be exclusive to it. It's kind of a smartphone app store for the PC.

Angry Birds is free if you register for an Intel AppUp account and download the client. It's a fun little puzzle game I must say, and it plays much better with a mouse on a large screen than with your finger on a tiny phone.

Watch that IntelApp thing. It does NOT support Vista, period. They have also said they have no plans on supporting Vista. As of right now, only XP and Win7 i believe. Just a general warning to those out there.
