Hi, i am currently looking for a legal android 4.0 or better emulator for my windows laptop to play some android games on there that my phone is too crappy to handle. so far ive looked into YouWave for Android and BlueStacks both are quite good but none of them supports android 4.0 atleast not in the versions i got and updates dont return actual updates so i guess they are as good as can be at the moment.

But since most newer game apps are programmed for android 4.0 or higher i need something new.

So here my actual question, do you know any emulator that actually works for windows and is of course legal or do you have any other idea how to fix this without buying a new phone? :P
How does the actual android SDK fare in terms of these things? :p

The dev emulators are horrifically slow and don't have OGL support. Bootups can literally take minutes, and I'm not sure how easy it would be to push something that isn't part of a development app. I'm not sure they do persistent storage either, but I quit using them as fast as I could. It's an act of desperation to use one.
any other suggestions?

jar of beans never realy worked on my system
the amd one is bluestacks powered and needs an amd machine so thats a nope here
and youwave is good but the android 4.0 version is the one you have to buy but i refuse to buy a product that has issues with the most easy apps in android 2.0 (the test version) already

edit: installed the newest version of bluestacks and some apps work that didnt work before and others dont unfortunately the ones i wanted to run dont
