I am not sure if this thread will get any replies, but is some of you having access to Old Greek, Latin or Ancient Egypt literature?
I need to look for some text sources, but internet is no help here.

What exactly do you need regarding Old Greek literature?

Not sure if you can get into it, but there should be ancient Greek hymns dedicated to the Egyptian goddess Isis since her cult spread in late ancient periods to Greece and Rome.
Just wondering if there is actually primary literature to those kind of hymns.

The cult (or mysteries) of Isis and Serapis (ape god, sometimes substituted with Osiris) heavily influenced early Gnosticism which, in turn, had some influence on early Christanity. Try a religion professor and your local university, who ever teaches the Gnostic subjects (Gospel of John, etc.) should be able to point you in the correct direction.

Sorry for taking this long, went to bed shortly after posting yesterday.
I checked with a couple of philologists I know and they suggested (more or less) the same thing orcishgamer has.

The Golden Ass was about the mystery of Isis. It's actually not a bad book, but whether it was a genuine proselytizing work or a mockery has been lost to the mists of history. Everyone else I have on the subject was probably photocopies and handouts and got recycled years ago, sorry:(
