Seeing as it's from the people behind Penumbra, it's perhaps no surprise that Amnesia is a first person survival horror.
As before you're given the ability to directly manipulate the environment, which helps you get through various physics based puzzles.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent puts you in the shoes of Daniel as he wakes up in a desolate castle, barely remembering anything about his past. Exploring the eerie pathways, you must also take part of Daniel's troubled memories. The horror does not only come from the outside, but from the inside as well. A disturbing odyssey into the dark corners of the human mind awaits.

Details are still pretty thin Anyone else interested in this one?

Done, thanks for the heads up.
I pre-ordered it through Gamersgate what now seems like a lifetime ago.
Two weeks and two days left, if they stick to the current release date. :)

I can't wait to play this game. Really. While there are a number of titles I'm hoping will turn out to be great, this is one of the very few that I'm really pumped for. While I want them to get it right before releasing it, it can't come soon enough.
I've played an early version and it's simply fabulous. If you're a horror fan, pre-order immediately.

I'm jealous. How'd you manage that?

Ah, nice. I won't lie, I was sort of hoping (although not really, as I imagine it would do more damage than harm) that one of the preview copies had leaked so I could sample the almost completed goodness. I can't wait for it to come out and I've had it preordered for what seems like forever.

That would be naughty. Definitely would do a lot more harm. Anyway, it was already very high quality and they've brought it up even moreso since. I can't wait to review it.

Cool, but I don't want to spoil myself. :p EDIT: I did read the interview, though. Nice one. :)
All friends are out of town + My girl is on vacation with her family = Free week for Penumbra! I've only finished Overture. Time to repeat that one and finish the other two games. :D Going to bed now, 6 AM here. :/
