Oh damn, now I'm hyped for this game again. Your interaction with the environment looks to be a lot smoother in this game too. Which is good seeing as it looks like you'll be running around a lot.

Interaction does look good. And yes, quite a bit of running around and lots of doors to close behind you apparently.
Judging by the trailers so far this game won't dissapoint anyone in the 'scarry' department.
"It's going to scare you absolutely witless" - i like the sound of that. Alot.

So many 'horror' games now just throw gore at you and expect you to be scared by that. Too few titles actually look at what gets people scared in games and really tries to build on that. The more I see of this game, the more I'm convinced they'll do a better job in the horror department than any other title to date.

These guys do seem to have quite a few good ideas about what horror in a game is (or should be) about. The 'defensless - run like hell' approach makes alot of sense to me, not being able to turn around and make a stand is quite unsettling and keeps players off balance.
There's lots of gamers out there and lots of different perceptions about what's really scarry and what's not, but this one will probably do the trick for most. I hope the sound effects are up to spec. Many times the audio manages to unsettle me in ways visuals would never be able to.

I sure hope it is going to be a 'scarry' game. I've never been traumatized to that extent by any game before ;)

Black Plague is... bad for your mental health. I had to take a 15 minute break after the things that happen right after you discover the first "save point".
First time playing Black Plague. Overture is nothing compared to this one. (I don't know whether to be happy or worried even more :/ )
By the way, I swear, this is the last time I play a horror game without sleeping the previous night.

The fact that the game is inspired by not just H.P. Lovecraft but also real life incidents including the Milgram, Stanford prison experiments and Unit 731 horrifies me far more. Knowing this I am scared to play Amnesia now.

For all the talk about PC gaming dying I have to say, even as a PC gamer exclusively, I am freaking drowning in games to try, buy and pay attention to.

BTW just to let you guys know in advance (or as a confirmation), the file in Gamershell seems to be broken. I've downloaded a couple of times, and the files inside are always corrupt. I am downloading it off torrent now, and it seems that the file sizes between the torrent and the Gamershell ZIP file are different, so I'm guessing Gamershell is holding on to a corrupt version.

Yay, demo. Boo, work for the next 8 hours.
