Some games use this type of DRM (for example, Diablo III). What do you think about "Always-on DRM"?
It's terrible for single player. Why would a single player game need to constantly be online?

For me it equals never-buy-under-any-circumstances :)

High five! I'm using the same mathematical structure ;)
Always online = never buy.

Add my vote to that.
I won't touch such products with a ten foot barge pole. Simply not worth buying :)

It's Always-off my PC.
A necessary evil for MMO games, a terrible idea for the rest of them.

Once you get the connection problems sorted out, it's not so bad.
Always online DRM means... being always off line playing something else! Really, when publishers do that it seems they are trying to let the honest buyers feel like latent criminals - something I'm not disposed to suffer. They can keep their Big Brothers or Psycho Passes.
I will be ok with Always-on DRM when developers and publishers can guarantee the following:

That they will always be in business.
They will pay for my computer, power bill, and internet access
When all of those things including the operating system are fail-proof (never susceptible to crashes, outages, viruses, trojans, etc).
And when the game is free.

Since that's not possible, never.

Even though I would like some MMOs to be offline single-player like WOW and Everquest overahauled to a Elder Scrolls like Experiance (strong story main quest, plus tons of side activities)
