Wishbone: If only they'd had time to finish it, it would have been one of the best Star Wars games ever.

There's a restored content mod + patches that apparently help out. In beta last I checked though...
Good review here.

Ogg: At least the first two hours.

Exactly. :P I'd rather not have to rely on fan made patches this time.

michaelleung: I don't like anything tied up

You definitely should try. New sensations ahead! ;)
*Sigh* At least not as bad as Blizzard...

Blizzard don't do delays anymore. They do "A game... that's not WoW?" *looks around confused* "Sorry, you're losing me here. Oh! Wait, you mean what we've got those two guys doing in the basement? Yeah, I wondered what they were up to".

No, the two guys are making Starcraft Ghost, Starcraft 2 is being made by five people in a conference room because the door was locked and they had to do something to pass the time
and they've never heard of local area networks

You've got to keep up with the times. Ghost was cancelled. They're working on Diablo 3 now. Well, one of them is.
The other has been placed in charge of the mould kingdom that has formed in a pizza box in the basement which has evolved into a sentient race of miniature mould people. It is rumoured that somewhere within the mould kingdom there lies the only surviving Ghost gold disc.

So THAT'S what they're trying to sell us in 2015.

The worst part is Diablo III is delayed because of a market tactic! I understand they want to give people time to play SC2 and WoW:Cataclysm, but *ugh*!

Negotiations with the Mould People is at a delicate yet crucial stage. They worship the disc as a god. The employee in charge of them is trying to convince them that the Mountain Dew god is a superior one and they should trade one for the other.

The target markets may have a lot of overlap, but not enough for one to eclipse the other. They clearly don't quite grasp how high in demand the games are.

Arkose: While this is bad news, it was clear from the late 2009 footage that the game was not even close to being in a finished state. Hopefully it will actually get finished now, unlike some of Obsidian's past efforts. It can't have been easy to work on this as well as New Vegas.

I think they're working on Fallout: New Vegas now, and Alpha Protocol had been already finished. Maybe it was delayed for some other reason.

I remember from an interview of last year that Chris Avellone has no influence or direct knowledge of the decisions of the various delays of this game. (Kind of like "whenever they decide to release it".)
I think they were intimidated by Mass Effect's 2 graphics. As far as I know they are using the Unreal Engine 3 as well, yet haven't even reached the quality of ME1. So...
But on the other hand, maybe that newssite is just slow as I also didn't expect it before summer.

I looked at the list of games that Obsidian has developed. Now tell me why anyone would want to buy another one of their games at release? I'll wait for a gold edition of this game to come out. At least some of the bugs will be worked out by then.
