jaxdia: Really started to get the hots for Michael Thorton by the end. Sexy bugger. Had to keep reminding myself he was just made out polygons. >_>
18 years on and it's still Cammy from Street Fighter >_>

KneeTheCap: This is for anyone who has/can make a gamersgate account.

I will gift two copies of Alpha Protocol, first come first serve. Let me know in this thread. I will then PM you and ask your email (it's needed for the gift). This offer is valid for 6 hrs (until the daily deal for the game ends)

But there is a catch. You must try it, and then let us know, in this thread, whether you liked it or not :)
I am up for the challenge of trying it :) [though I am guessing, due to how long ago this post was, that you have gifted them already]

Luisfius: The entire point of the dialog being timed is that it is a series of flowing conversations, a lot of them without the player being in control of the situation, and of course to add a sense of urgency. Once again, the most tense segment of the game is for me the conversation with Marburg in Rome. Damn.

lowyhong: We'd have to agree to disagree then ;)

BTW I also feel compelled to reinstall the game just to try out for some of the different endings. I was quite taken aback when I learned you can join Halbech and just backstab the shit out of everyone. That's a very nice act of C&C.

I also have another question regarding Mina. When she betrayed you, she launched the first missile strike that caused you to go rogue. I'm confused. Isnt' there only one missile strike, the one that had 3 incoming missiles?
But Mina is so cute, one cannot stay angry at her :D

TMI bros (and sistahs)

BTW is it ever revealed the significance of Sis' locket, apart from it being a childhood trinket?

StingingVelvet: I played on PC. Was fine.
The hacking minigame wasn't if you're playing with a KB+mouse setup. I nearly punched my monitor in anger.

No, other than it was some sort of childhood memento. But gotta love Sis' expression when Thorton asks about her past and pushes the right buttons with Albatross :D

I should have trusted Albatross, but at the last minute I decided to have SIE help me in Moscow instead. One of the rare moments when I actually appreciated the timer. Too bad, maybe on my next playthrough I'll get to know Albatross and Sis better.

Me too :)

Busting through to the manor with SIE is a very memorable moment :)

Which level is that? I only recall fighting alongside SIE in Alpha Protocol.

Wasn't it with SIE when you drive to the manor's courtyard with the APC? You know, you Thorton manning the machine gun at the roof of the "car" :)

Brayko's mansion? I dunno if that's a different path you get to take, but I went in alone and had to bust her out.
I'm rather surprised that no-one wants a free copy of alpha protocol...

*sad*

I went with SIE in her APC with guns blazing :)

Though she got captured later on...

If there's still a free copy, I'll take it.

Did you play on the default mouse sensitivity? From my experience, moving the mouse any more than a hair's breadth would jerk the right hand side box in that direction, 1-2 blocks away. I only realized it could have been the sensitivity's fault after finishing the game.
