So uh, anyone heard word on the Alone in the Dark series possibly coming to GOG? Ever since moving to Windows XP I've not been able to load up my trusty floppy copies of the game.
Also they're honestly the only really scary games ever made :)

would that include the new alone in the dark?

Let's all just forget about THAT game and walk away...
As for the games before that, probably. I'd actually be disappointed as hell if they didn't show up on GOG someday.
Well, the original DOS trilogy of Alone in the Dark would be a must-have :-P
@Lucavious
I think the first three AitD would be very much enjoyable through DOSBox nowadays....
Alone in the Dark series (the older owes) would be a must buy for me as well.

No kidding, I'll try this DOSbox program you recommended. I remember being scared *&^%less when I was just poking around in a drawer a zombie just slooooowly starts inching through the door you thought was safe. Or the one that comes through the window in the attic.

Indeed, you should :-P
Ah. The Alone in the Dark series. How can I forget them. I even recorded a video walkthrough on Youtube.
The trilogy pack would be great on GOG. Don't know if Atari (who now owns Infogrammes) would agree, but it's worth a try.
Those who missed those games or want to see a preview can check my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/POLE7645

That's awesome, I never got to see Alone in the Dark 2 and 3, it'll be fun going through the Youtubes.
I would love to get my hands on the version of AITD that was rereleased with cd-rom music. There is a clip on youtube and it sounds sweet. :) gogo GoG!

Check it out. Having that quality soundtrack is a huge upgrade from the original dos version imo

Yep, that's the version I got (along with the CD version of Alone in the dark). The music in this version is great in my opinion.
Has anyone heard any word on a possible addition of the Alone in the Dark games?

I think that's the first time I've seen a thread so old revived on GOG.

Sorry, I'm gonna be honest I just keep coming back to this site hoping one day to see that GOG managed to acquire rights to sell games from Infogrames :)
And I didn't wanna spam with a second thread :\

It's ok and no I haven't heard anything, but I'm eager to see that partnership happen as well.
