The only left-handed mouse that springs to my mind is the leftie version of the Razer DeathAdder. The normal DeathAdder is a brilliant thing, even if it hasn't got a ridiculous battery of buttons like the Naga. You could always try to learn to use the mouse with your right hand like my friend did; he said it was a real pain in the ass, though.

I think some people have changed their usernames by e-mailing support. Can anyone confirm this?

I dunno, you replied to a couple posts stating we spent a lot on beer (which is easy to do if you buy fancy beer) which doesn't seem to indicate "drinking becoming a problem", it's no different than spending a crap ton on organic food or any other high end consumable.

I really can't say anything for sure about people over the internet, but either way I'd be making an assumption and so I did. I tend to do that.

If its still not working post some more info why its not working eg error message, black screen and we'll help you. Also take a look at the game sub forum Divine Divinity to see if others had the same problem.

Awhile ago I was thinking about making this Half Life topic it's own thread but then realized it wasn't thread-worthy or have much of a point to it, so I appreciate this thread the OP made.

anyhoo, random Half Life series post.
I have purchased the original game twice. One from boxed retail and one from steam.
I have purchased Half Life 2 three times ( xbox version, xbox 360 version, and from steam)
I have purchased Half Life episodes 1 and 2 twice ( 360 version and steam version).
I have beaten all of the Half Life 2 games, and I almost never finish my games.
So it sounds like I must be a fairly big fan of the Half Life series, what with the double dipping and even triple dipping and then taking the time to finish all of them , right? No! I think Half Life 2 and it's episodes are some of the most overrated games of all time ( they are good but not OMG awesome mind -blowing games. I honeslty don't care if episode 3 ever comes out)


as for why I bought those games so many times, I bought Half Life in retail and then I lost it before playing much of it, so I later bought the steam version. Found my retail version a little bit later, Bought Half Life 2 for the original xbox because I didn'tt have a good pc., bought the xbox 360 version of the orange box for the same reason, and later just bought steam versions of the games for mods ( I know most of the mods will run with any source game, but Minerva required episode 1, and I bought the rest of the games in case there were any good mods that specifically required one of those)

Thanks for the help. Screenshot attached. It says to check if I have enough disk space, and that I have rights to play it. I also included other info in the screenshot to show I have both of those things. I checked on the relevant forum, but didn't see any issues others were having that were similar to this.

Furthermore, if it helps, I'm on Windows 7 (64bit), Nvidia graphics cards, Sony Vaio (waiting for my soopa doopa new Origin laptop to arrive).

Beyond Divinity is installing now, hoping it will work without issues, but I've heard Divine Divinity is better, so it would be really nice to get it working.

Update: Beyond Divinity is having the exact same problem, which makes me think it's probably an issue with my laptop or something, though I haven't had this issue with any of the other gog games I've got so far.

Update2: It's now working, by right clicking and selecting run as admin. Sorry to sound like an idiot, but how do I get it to know that I am admin, and to just run it like that when I double click like all my other games? I'm not making a good first impression, I know, but I'm very grateful for any help I can get with it.

Ahh you just need to right click on the shortcut ---> click properties ---> click compatibility tab ---> click the tick box "run this program as an administrator" should be all good then :D

Edit: Pro tip, Next time you download a GOG or a program you trust run the installer as an admin and set the shortcut to run as an admin. It will stop Windows interfering with the files. Sorry i forgot to suggest that earlier.

Working the night shift this week, listening to the winds blow in the dark outside reminds me why I love this time of year. I can't wait to get some decent rain too!

Ubivis and nmillar are totally rocking the holiday stuff this year, part of why I love the GOG community is the fact that everyone seems willing to share and help even after being here for <insert gog-days here> :)

I keep getting eyerolls from IRL types since I practically squee like a fangirl whenever I talk about my Lego Star Wars advent calendar, but I am totally jazzed to see what little things I get each day!

GOGwiki is fun, I have been taking time lately to try and clean up my submissions and get a better feel of how it is built. Ubivis has made an awesome site there, I highly recommend everyone go and check it out as it is like our own personal Mobygames. :)

Can't seem to get trough Half Life 2: Episode 1. Every time I launch it, I end up turning it off in 10 minutes.

2 extra short days in school in a row, made of only awesome subjects like biology, chemistry and math. Duck yeah.

And I just don't get the charm of lego... things.

I got through Episode 2 to the end, and kept dying from the big stompy things. I gave up and haven't gone back since. I did enjoy the games, not a raving fan but they were good FPS fare for me. Of course, I have played Witchhaven 1 and 2, Corridor 7, and other FPS shite so I have a high tolerance for the genre. :)

My love of Lego is more love of Star Wars spaceships than the actual blocks. If you ever wanted to know the demographic they were targeting re: Lego and Star Wars it was me. lol
