kit.hargreaves: Left handed gaming mouse - I want one. Yep, that's right, not only do I live in Cambodia, but I'm also left handed, which apparently makes me a terrible customer to provide for. What I'm looking for is something like the Razer Naga; lots of mappable buttons, ergonomic, etc. Sadly there is no left handed version of it, nor is there a left handed version of anything like it that I've seen. If anyone knows of one, please tell me.

AlKim: The only left-handed mouse that springs to my mind is the leftie version of the Razer DeathAdder. The normal DeathAdder is a brilliant thing, even if it hasn't got a ridiculous battery of buttons like the Naga. You could always try to learn to use the mouse with your right hand like my friend did; he said it was a real pain in the ass, though.

kit.hargreaves: My user name - Like, I guess I messed up when I opened my account, and wasn't planning on using it as much as I am. If I was, I'd have used a handle instead of my name. I'm guessing there's no way to change it now, but if there is, someone please let me know.

AlKim: I think some people have changed their usernames by e-mailing support. Can anyone confirm this?

Welcome aboard. Enjoy your stay.
So, GOG got back to me, helpful as always, and were able to accommodate my request, which is completely awesome.

Razer were less awesome, saying that they won't ship stuff here, so I'd have to get it sent to a friend in the US or somewhere, then get the friend to send it on to me. Seems like a lot of hassle just for a mouse, might wait until the Razer Blade comes out next month and get both together if Origin decides they won't ship to me either.
Does anyone know any games, with a story of a world where an organization has obviously too much power, using and abusing, and so on. And the character is obviously rebelling against... or is a part of it, that works too.

Kinda like half life, I guess.

Anything post apocalyptic would be awesome too.

Sounds like the Crusader games to me. Or Syndicate, which has a reinvention coming out. Maybe the first Deus Ex game?

Happy b-day and congrats! I hit 30 twice (2010 in Korea and again two months ago here). First time around I was real sentimental about never ever being able to go back to my 20s, ever ever even if I die or even 10000 years later. Alcohol-rich days, those were.

30 was a head trip. By 40 I couldn't care less, though, so just take deep breaths until it passes or deep gulps until you pass out. ;)
My last day of work at this job! So its off to new adventures.
Whew, talk about a last-minute purchase, literally... I bought Terraria with 75% off on Steam in the very last minute of the sale (I only noticed it was on sale when it was only a few minutes left, and then I pondered for some time whether to buy it or not). I was actually worried I didn't make it in time, but it turns out I did.
So far, I'm really enjoying the game, so it's a good thing I decided to grab it.

Had it since release, the sound of mining ores and stone will hurt your brain, literally. After some time of that painful clacking, I thought my head was going to explode.

The game is awesome, though.
My boot drive just died. I lost my entire Steam partition, all my save games and configuration, and possibly a huge chunk of data from the past four years.

I am sad.

Horrible, I was pretty dissed just by losing my Max Payne saves.

I feel your pain... In late July, I had to replace my games HDD. Fortunately, I was prepared as I saw the bad sector count grow ever higher, so I made backups of most of my save games, but it took quite some time, and also, only later did I find out I forgot about some games.
Now I regularly check my HDDs' state, and I advise you to do the same to avoid such incidents in the future.

That explains a lot. I was getting quite used to the "Foxhack is playing Dungeons of Dredmor" Steam popup. I could swear that I once saw it followed up by a little "again".

You're addicted! ;-P
