Hey! Awesome, I didn't know steam had the old avp for teh cheaps! Well, I'll buy it, get some practice, and see if I can join a game some time in the future.

No servers around, so be aware. Also official forums seem to share a consensus among users that if you don't find a game in 30 seconds you will be stuck for up to hours, just go back to main menu and search again as it locks up after 30 seconds or so.
