Seems MS has Remedy by the balls. I cannot believe this, there game was coded for a quad core system with 4gigs of ram and a 1gig on board video memory in a 64bit environment for optimum performance...
So the release the game in a \P.O.S. substandard system with dx9 and crap for video memory and absolutely nothing under the hood but smoke and mirrors? At least this needs the power and graphics of the PS3 to ever remotely do it justice...
I mean this game was for the PC and always was going to be a PC release before MS had a shit with the new numbers showing there precious console failing into the land of the forgotten. I have so lost faith in them... i just cant believe they would let this happen...

Ah, good ol' platform exclusivity. Lord knows I've missed it. Especially with the obvious trend of non-primary platforms being given substandard ports. And the numbers are just increasing.
No offence intended Starkrun, but it's probably a good thing. Microsoft themselves are not above the same practice and have created substandard ports in the past. Would you really have wanted a game that either looks like crap, or runs like shite and completely ruins the game experience?
If the numbers are there, they may change their minds in a year's time when ports are usually done for big names. Just as they've done in the past (with better success because of the extra timeframe).
No matter what a developer says, no matter how emphatically they say it, a 360 exclusive turning up on the PC is always likely. Microsoft will drain out every drop via retail sales and DLC before moving on to the PC to repeat the process.

They've changed their tune these past few years. No Gears 2, no Fable 2, Halo 3, etc.

Remember when LucasArts said Force Unleashed would not come to PC because of technical reasons and then it did? Well, that was a rather shit game ironically and I bet it did very poorly after the mediocre reviews.

That's their fault for having ASPYR do the port. If they actually got off their lazy asses and took the time to do a good port of it, I think it would have done much better.

The original game was hardly that good, either, though. I had zero interest in it even though I also own an Xbox360. The PC version interested me even less.
It's sad to see what has become of the Star Wars franchise on PC. I mean, we had some truly brilliant SW games in the 90's: X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, even Rebellion (which is an underrated game) - and if you ignore the Rebel Assault games, it's almost a spotless record! The last Star Wars games I enjoyed were the KOTOR games and the second got ruined by SW rushing the game for release.
This is why I stopped upgrading my PC. Right here. First: PC special editions started getting shafted. Not a big deal, but annoying. Then came the delayed releases. That was enough to get me kinda pissed. Then came the abandoning of the PC once a game was released, despite it having game breaking bugs, with no patch ever released (Kane and Lynch, Far Cry 2 for examples). And now, complete abandoning of the PC as a platform. I've pretty much moved to my consoles for modern gaming, and abandoned the PC, save for certain exclusives (ARMA 2, WoW, etc.), old games, and the occasional FPS that just seems to make more sense on a PC (L4D2, TF2, etc).
Now, reality check: If you think Microsoft owes ANYTHING to you, you are in for a wake up call. Microsoft abandoned the PC when Halo came out. Just look at the E3 footage from 98/99 and the final game once it was announced for Xbox. Microsoft has moved on to consoles. That's where money is to be made. Games for Windows was an utter failure, with a lack of cooperation between companies to try and market the service for all newer games, and a horrible user interface.
Modern PC gaming is, for lack of a better word, dead. It will join the Wii for being the primary target for casual gamers, with a tiny percentage of core gamers holding on.
EDIT: On a side note, BOTH of my hard drives just crashed on my PC. As if it knows I'm talking bad about it.

Some valid points but you're really overstating some things there. :P
I'm considering buying a 360.
I'll repeat that.
I'm considering buying a 360.
Speaks volumes that their tactic, as it were, is working. I'm tired of shitty or nonexistent PC ports of games that are great on the consoles. I'm also tired of my PS3, don't like the trophy system, and very much don't like the PSN, which is inferior to XBLA in every conceivable way.
I want XBLA and gamerscore now. Throw in some Dante's Inferno and Gears of War 2 for good measure and mix with some friends to play online with. Stir and let sit for 4 years until M$ finally releases a new console which would have been next-gen had it been released this year.

Pretty much sums up why I decided to stick with consoles Recently I was considering buying a newer pc with gaming specifically in mind, but lately it seems I read a lot of stuff that I don't like about it

To heck with you guys, I'm sticking with PC til I die. :)
Alan Wake ? Who cares, honestly? I have Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2 and a gazillion of modern and old games to complete on my computer, so I don't really care if a game is delayed.
Plus, frankly, I'll always stick with PC because I can choose its parts fitting my use and I can still do wayyy much more things with it than with a console.
Frankly, I have a Nintendo DS because i got it for a birthday present, but i can't say i play much with it. And I'm not attracted at all by PS3 and Xbox 360.
If I HAD TO buy a console, i'd instantly buy a Dreamcast, because there are so many good games.
I will never understand why the dreamcast is considered by many to be the best console of all time.
Ps2 all the way for me just from ps2 titles alone it's not even close. Then when you throw in the backward compatibilty it's total obliteration.

PS2 is compatible with PS1?
NICE. I never knew, actually.
