My god. This arrived this morning, and I completed it now (3:00am). I couldn't stop playing, I just had to see what happened next at every moment. I also think i'm one of the first people to finish this game. :D
Anyway, GET THIS if you have an Xbox. Seriously.
No really.
I would GET THIS if it was on PC too, that is.
How many hours? How many difficulty levels it has and which you played?
I started at about 1pm and finished at about 3am, so roughly 14 hours. I think I went through the game particularly fast, though. The game has 3 difficulty levels, and I played Normal (the easiest, apparantly), and am now going back through on Nightmare (the hardest, which you have to unlock.)

So 3 diff. levels, and after you beat easy or medium, it unlocks hard? Hmm, much like Max Payne 2 IIRC.
I've heard it is 10 to 16 hours long.
And start saving your monies for the 8 DLCs it will get, ah the dear microsoft. :p
No need to save monies! I can just send plenty o' emails claiming to be Ugandan royalty.
How did you get it this early? I thought Australia was getting it first and not till the 21st
I'm in Europe. Got it a day early for some reason. The release day is 14th May for us.

Same here. I love Remedy and would like to get this, but they don't want to release it on my platform. They being Microsoft, not Remedy.
Microsoft need to stop trying to get me to buy an Xbox, I never will.
I s the tearing really bad in this game? I heard a few people say it was.
I hate tearing more than anything

I just hate them doing things like this with good developers, the publishers I mean.
I don't believe alan wake will ever be released for PC. MS already released it with a code for a "free" DLC (wonder if it's already on the disk or not), and that first DLC makes it clear for who this game is.
I'm not buying any more Microsoft games for the 360 until they restart publishing them for the PC.

Let me just add a voice to this side. It annoys me to no end that Microsoft have pulled an Epic like this. In fact, they're much worse than Epic, since their business didn't just start out on the PC, the major part of it is still there. They seem to have regressed back to the 80's, when PCs were only for work, not games.

Well, I want the games on PC too. But I am not optimistic about it, for the next few years. =/

MS killing the PC gaming is better for them (nothing is perfect, but it would be better), they happen to have their own platform and own exclusive titles for that platform.
Add that to a user base who think it's fine to buy X number of DLCs for $15 (yes, MW2) and pay more than $50 for new games, then the party is done for MS and their friendly publishers.
And add the harassment that is GFWL and DRM for some players, keep and keep and keep punishing them until they go mad and buy a 360; plus paying a gold LIVE subscription, of course.
We lost Ensemble, Epic Games, Remedy, Bungie, etc etc which had their early titles all for PC and all feed (financed) by PC gamers. (And maybe we'll loose Raven Software, soon.)

I'm fairly sure they'll never come to the PC. I'm not going to reward Microsoft for their dick behaviors though by buying the games on the 360.

There was absolutely no tearing, from what I saw.
