Nel-A: OOC: Can I please buy the Basic Round Shield from Dorian? And then may I attach the Shield Seal that Kemuel found to it please.
Yep, sure.

Also, how much would you offer for Kemuel's Shortbow?
50 gold. Do you accept?

EDIT: Sorry, if it hasn't already been done, could I equip the Amulet and also this shield please!
Sure.

Can I ask, does it free up spaces in a character's inventory if they equip items?
Yes. I'm still working on getting the rules more clear, but yes. See Inventory Rules. The "5 items" is in *addition* to the other items listed.

Your character has been updated. You now have 158 gold remaining. You will have 208 if you sell your shortbow.

The quest will begin soon.

Okay thanks for all of that. And yes, 50 gold is fine by me, so I accept.

Cheers Stoic.
We're going to start off in "Single Vote Mode" for this quest. I'll pose a question with a few choices, ANY of the 3 characters can select an option. The whole party will then follow that character's choice.

We may start taking "normal" turns eventually, but I'll let you know before that happens.

Our first choice is the route there.

As you know, the Guild is now based in Northport. So, the trip from Northport to Endirum can be done in one of two ways.

Party, which way shall we go:

1. Through Gullet's Pass in the Mountains, where we may encounter Gobblers and the HIghland Tribes. Not much is known of the Highland Tribes, but they do practice some ruthless magic.
2. Through the Forest north of Biya R'Zala, where we may encounter dangerous animals.

Here's a link to the WORLD MAP.

Would one of you 3 be so brave as to step up and make your choice?

Exile spoke softly "Through the pass in the highlands."

Landeril: Exile spoke softly "Through the pass in the highlands."
The party is moving across the grasslands to the west of Gullet's Pass when you spot an old Gobbler with a cane. He stood up from the rock he was sitting on and approaches you,

"Sirs," the tiny green man speaks, "would be so brilliant of you if you could spare an old man some change. I'm down on my luck."

ONE of you may choose:

1. "Sorry, we don't have any gold to spare."
2. Sneer at him and tell him to go away.
3. Give him X gold (specify how much)

Exile reached into his satchel, drawing out a handful of coins. He dropped ten gold coins into the nogs hand.

"Goody, goody, goody," exclaims the old gobbler, "Quite generous of you, fair sir. Say, maybe you have some use for this," he adds, handing you a scroll.

Scroll of Identification: This scroll may identify an unidentified artifact or magical object. It can be used once, and is then discarded.

This item has been added to Exile's inventory.

The party continues east towards Gullet's Pass. (World Map posted earlier for reference.)

Just 1 mile west of Gullet's Pass the mountains around you begin to narrow. Your hear a strange "buzzing" noise coming from a cave only a hundred feet south.

Any ONE of you may choose:

Does the party:

1.) Investigate the noise?
2.) Continue on through the pass?

Just inside the cave, you spot an object on the ground. You move your hand towards the object, only to realize it is covered in flesh-eating insects. The bugs crawl up and down your arm, doing 9 damage before you fling them off.

Having shaken off the bugs, you take a look at the object on the floor. It is a severed human head, cut off at the neck. Its eyeballs have been ripped from its skull!

You take all of this as a warning that this area is unsafe. To say the least.

The party advances through Gullet's Pass without incident. This journey has been shorter and swifter than you had any reason to believe.

You are moving through a strip of desert to the northeast of the gobbler stronghold called Cioll Zweng just before sundown.

In the sands ahead, you spot a party moving north. There are two Vasar males and a Gobbler female. The Gobbler female has her hands shackled and one of the Vasar males is clinging tightly to a dagger, shoving her forward occasionally.

Any ONE of you may choose:

Does the party:

1.) Continue east towards Endirum?
2.) Move north to encounter the other party?

Lucas starts to slowly advance toward the other party, making sure not to alarm them. He was going to see if he could release the Gobbler without incident.

Exile's eyes hardened as he advanced past Lucas towards the other Vasar, shouting at them in their own tongue to halt. His very demeanor changed around these slavers as he held up his hand in common sign language of Vasar Warriors.

MrWilli: "So much for diplomacy."
"Diplomacy has its place, my friend." The Shadow Knight spoke softly, already his hand crept towards his longsword, ready for his brethern.
OOC: In any event, since only one character gets to choose per action, we're going with Lucas' option of approaching them diplomatically.

The party advances on the 2 Vasar and the Gobbler.

"Move aside, strangers!" one of the Vasar shouts. "We're escorting a prisoner to one of the highland chiefs. This Gobbler is wanted for theft and murder, among other things."

Any ONE may choose:

Does the party say:

1.) "Very well, we shall be out of your way."?
2.) "I don't believe you, set her free."?
3.) "Die, scum!"?
