Landeril: OOC: Reserve one? Gotta pick between Exile and Onyx.

stoicsentry: OOC: Yeah just one. Trying to hold the next game to 3 characters. Which reminds me, I didn't add Onyx to the roster yet.
OOC: I noticed. Onyx will be in the next one
"Okay so I guess I'm going to charge in and knock out the lead man. Cover won't you?" Lucas said to others before taking a deep sigh. He runs up the stairs, yelling at the top of his lungs.

You arrive at the top of the stairs, bumping the man with the bloody boot and screaming at the top of your lungs. Had you received the reaction you anticipated, you probably would have attacked someone. Instead, you stand there, starring in befuddlement at a room filled to the brim with people... none of whom seem to have even noticed you.

There are 10, no 12, no 14 or more makeshift hammocks holding an equal amount of injured parties. On the floor straight ahead of you, a severed hand twitches. You shiver at the sight.

Men and women (who are wearing the same robes as the cult members outside), rush back and forth aimlessly, from one injured person to another.

Stunned, you mutter, "It's a... hospital?" under your breath.

Remaining turns:
Phil: move and/or act
Arkades: move and/or act
Vir: move and/or act

OOC: Hopefully now is the time to shed some light on the events that have come to pass today. There are lots of questions to ask, I'm sure.

OOC: My week has been hell. I apologize for not posting. I am glad to see you carried on without me. I will be starting teaching placement very shortly, so I will be unable to devote any time to this except in the late evenings. Again, I apologize. Stoic is welcome to take my turns. I should not have signed up for something like this during my school's crunch time.

OOC: That's OK man, life goes on! Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "teaching placement"? Do you mean student teaching? I'm a teacher, myself.

OOC: Yes! Man, what a small world! I'm in my big student practicum/student teaching thing, where I actually have to do a lot of the teaching. Or at least I will be, on Monday. How long have you been teaching? What's your area? :D
OOC: Sorry to interrupt...

Vir creeps up just behind Lucas and scans the room. While the man with the bloody boot is startled, Vir lightly scans his mind to hopefully gain some context. There are many questions to answer indeed.

OOC: Vir is making the face in the attached image.
OOC 2: I'm hoping I'll get something more than omg wat r thoz guyz!1! from the mind reading.

OOC: 2 years. Social Studies. High school level.

Good luck. It can be a trying time. It's easier as time goes on, I assure you.

You enter the human subject's mind and learn: he is grieving for the loss of several friends in battle today, and nervously awaits to learn the condition of a wounded comrade that he rescued.

Turns remaining:
Phil: move and/or act
Arkades: move and/or act

OOC: This mind-reading thing doesn't go very deep, does it. :P
OK, I did say "lightly scans his mind".

OK, I did say "lightly scans his mind".
OOC: Also, as it is a single turn, it only represents the same amount of time as other turns, I.E., about 10 to 15 seconds. So, I don't think it would make much sense to allow you to learn all of this person's secrets in such a short time.

Also, that doesn't preclude you from using it again next turn, on the same target.

Remaining turns:
Phil: move and/or act
Arkades: move and/or act
*bump! did the monkey kill everyone?? :P*

Nel-A: *bump! did the monkey kill everyone?? :P*
OOC: No, just life/family/work happening all at once.. =/ (even missed this weekend's promo)

Phil turned towards Arkades. "Perhaps it's time we got some clear answers from Kalix or Kale," he said, "I'm not going to attack wounded or healers, based on what little we actually know." He continued, "if those children want our help, they better come up with some damn good answers!"

OOC: Waiting for Arkades' answer, but will probably leave the tower anyway (unless he has some compelling reasons not to).
OOC: Uhh...bump?
