I would like to climb the spinning object above the spikes.

You grab onto the pole and the machine carries you across the spikes, down the hall and all the way to the north. (See map)

You find a rope placed conveniently on the floor in front of you. Someone must have left it there for some reason. You tuck it into your backpack and plot your next move.


Anyone may act or move.

Kemuel, shouts over the din the machinery, "Rohan! You made it okay? Anything that can help us over there?"

"Gad. I hope he can send the handle back," The cleric said, sighing. "I don't like the idea of a dragon munching on me."

"Ha! Having met you, Father, I know you'd fight your way out from the inside. And somehow the dragon would be the better for it!"

OOC: If the mechanised handle comes back with just a pair of bloodied hands attached, I'll worry then! :P

OOC: Think this has been going really well so far, everyone has made a great contribution. Whether it's Rohan picking locks and exploring the spiked hallway, Arkades blessing/healing, Kemuel guarding Exile while he got those fireballs off. Great stuff.

OOC: Ehh, at least he'll pad some of the spikes for OUR attempts. Hehe!

OOC: We need Rohan!

IC: The Shadow Knight set himself at the ready, charging up the blast of ice magic that he kept hidden

OOC: We put the eye in team! We kept the rest of the bandit for ourselves, though.

I'd like to climb back with rope to my squad.

You throw the rope up onto the handles and easily glide over the spiked floor to meet with your companions. The party can rather easily take turns passing over the spikes this way.

OOC: Is that what you would all like to do?

Arkades shuffles forward. "Ah, well, I'll be the first, Light help me..." He tossed the rope clumsily, taking two or three attempts before he got it over. Tucking his walking stick into his belt, he kicked off into the void...

Arkades has passed over the spikes. The area here is dimly lit and quiet. You feel relatively safe as you wait for your friends to join you.

OOC: Kemuel, Exile or Rohan may grab the handle to be escorted over the spiked floors.
