You must have a character to play. If you do not have a character, you can make one on the GUILD THREAD. Those who have already registered with the Legion may sign up as they please. All spots filled, but anyone reading this can still create a character for future quests.
Character 1. Rohan Ta'er controlled by Rohan15. Rohan Ta'er is a Spy and new to the Legion.
Character 2. Exile Mystran controlled by Landeril. Exile is a veteran Shadow Knight. (I made a 2nd character sheet for you temporarily. Kept the old one just temporarily, so that we can finish the Knights of the Ton adventure.)
Character 3. Father Arkades Le'Minz controlled by Runehamster. Father Arkades is a rookie Cleric.
Character 4. Kemuel controlled by Nel-A. Veteran Knight.
Story
Shortly after the founding of the Legion of the Shield, the Ringmaster resurfaced in Northbrook. The former leader of a moralistic band of rogues, many of whom were involved in the founding the Legion itself, the Ringmaster is a fan of games, contest and merriment.
Since his return, he has looked disheveled, uninterested and tired. It is apparent that he no longer intends to play an active role in the events to come.
He has decided to hold one last contest. It is of paramount importance to the guild that at least one of you (preferably all) explore the dungeon and reach the intended destination.
If you do, there is a chance that the Ringmaster may remain with the Legion in an advisory and complimentary role, providing valuable training operations and a *ahem* rather large purse. If you fail, he will be most displeased, and is likely to leave us forever.
4 members of the Legion shall be put to the test in a small dungeon underneath the ruins of Northbrook. The dungeon is plagued by poisonous rats, brigands and the undead. They must reach the targeted destination to win.

Map design
There are 4 small squares within each big square. Movement occurs within the small squares. The big squares are there to indicate melee/short distance.
Attacking
Close range attacks can target anyone in an adjacent big square.Long range or missile attacks can target anyone within the same room, but are more likely to miss from a large distance.
Moving and Actions
I will roll for each character's movement at the beginning of each turn. Characters with increased speed will roll a higher die to determine the total amount of spaces they can move.
Characters can move in any direction (North, South, East, West, Northwest, Northeast, Southwest or Southeast).
Characters cannot occupy the same small square with other characters, nor with monsters. If something happens that would make 2 characters or monsters share the same small square, one will be "bumped" one small square over.
Each character can choose to move OR take one action per turn.
If you move, you cannot take an action.
If you take an action, you cannot move.
An action is: attacking, casting a spell, using an ability, opening a door, looking around, changing from one equipped weapon to another, etc.
All characters do certain things automatically. For example, all characters "look" around them, but choosing to use that as an action allows you to pay more attention to your surroundings than you would otherwise.
If you move to any type of door, your turn automatically ends as you check to see what type of door it is, whether it's locked, etc.
All the special marks on the map are doorways of some kind, but you will not know whether it is locked until you approach it.
Rules are always being refined, so if there are any questions, ask.
Rewards for Victory
If all 4 characters survive to the destination, everyone will receive 100 XP. If 3 characters survive, everyone will receive 75 XP, if 2 character survives, everyone will receive 50 XP, if 1 character survives, everyone will receive 25 XP.
This is in addition to any XP you might gain otherwise.
The Ringmaster will give away up to four items from his treasure chest. The first character to reach the exit may pick his reward first. The 2nd character (if there is one) will pick 2nd, the last character will pick last.
This is in addition to any loot you might gain otherwise.
If any player survives the dungeon crawl, the Ringmaster may remain with the Legion and provide similar opportunities in the future.
Destination
The red "X" on the map marks the large square you must reach.
Death
Death is not permanent. There are guild healers on call to resurrect fallen comrades.
A note on Turns
One of your posts will be quoted when it is your turn. You will have 24 hours to move or act. If you don't, I will move for you, so no worries.
