MrWilli: OOC: Err can I try to escape or will I die?
OOC: You can try to make a sudden escape. Then again, the guy does have a dagger to your throat. So... chance seems slim.

OOC: Eh I'll just wait and hope I don't die.
The Vasar would step up to the man with the dagger, drawing the longsword upon his side "I do not expect much brother." The Male spoke to the merchant as he leveled his blade to the dagger holders neck "Please release my friend, before I show you the meaning of roasted thug."
"I love this Vasar," Lucas thought to himself as he heard Exile speak.
Behind the Inn

"Calm yourself, traveler!" says the man with the dagger upon Lucas' throat. The three assailants slowly back away, one foot at a time...

He eyes Exile coldly. "Look behind me," he says to the crowd (including Kamelion, Jack, Leh Dzebo and the Vasar merchant), "do you see that shack down the road and to your right? The one near the sign post, and just beyond the wild oak?"

OOC: You do see it.

"Yes what about it." The Man stated as flames began to lick along the longsword in his hand. The Vasar steps past Lucas, shielding the others with his body as black wisps flow from his fingertips.
Behind the Inn

The man's two comrades step forward, one to the left and one to the right. They position themselves between the assailant and Exile.

You hear a spark and see a flash of light. Smoke surrounds you.

"Go back to the inn for awhile... then meet us there in one hour!" the assailant screams, "...and be discreet! Say nothing of this!"

He releases Lucas in your direction. Lucas tumbles to Exile's feet. He has lost 5 HP.

As the men retreat through the cloud of smoke, one shouts, "And we'll outnumber you greatly, so you had best have a better attitude when next we meet!"

The Male Vasar snorted as he sheathed the longsword, kneeling down to lift Lucas up. "He thinks we'll be outnumbered." He turned to the merchant "Brother, do you have a healing potion I can buy?"
Zaranak eyes the joking beggars "You would fault a man for taking precoursings with people whom he does not know? Perculiar, giving trust away so readily." He turns to the more serious of the three "an interesting offer, yet I have no way to know if you speak truth or falsehood. You suggest I pay you each five gold now, then nothing would prevent you from spilling lies and begone when I return vengeant. I must verify your information before I can determine it's worth." He says, attempting to use Cunning to sway them in his favour.
"Ugh...never work alone is today's lesson it seems," Lcuas said as he accepts the Vasar's hand. He then turns around to Exile. "I owe you some ale."
Behind the Inn

The Vasar nods at Exile, "I do. You're not actually going to fight them, are you? Anyway, the potions are pricey, but I'll give you a heavy discount... given the situation. I'll sell you light potions at 5G and regular potions at 10G. That's as far down as I can go on these, sadly... I'm losing out here. So let me know what you want."

In the Slums

Zaranak rolled a 4: cunning.

The leader of the beggars seems amused. "Probably a mistake to admit that you could beat us all up. I'll tell you what. How about you give us 1 gold each. Then, if you like our information, you can go ahead an' pony up the other 4 gold each. What do you say? It's only fair."

OOC: Ummm I hope you're talking about Zaranak.

Lucas pulls out a twenty five gold pieces and hands him to the merchant.

"Two regular potions, sir," Lucas said, "The five other pieces are a tip for your assistance in this situation."

ooc: I am

IC: Exile pulled out twenty gold marks, placing them in his brothers hands, "A Single potion will do for me." He stated as he tilts his head "Take the rest, for your trouble brother"
OOC: I messed up tracking the gold. Actually, no one here has any gold except Lucas (20) and Kamelion (25). I'll have to keep a gold update from now on, as I was doing it on your character sheets only and that's caused some confusion.

Since it was my fault, I'll allow those of you who misspent to open a small debt. Only for the time being! Hopefully by the time this campaign is over, you'll have more than enough for the future. And I promise, I will watch it better in the future... :(

Lucas has 25, but spent 5 on soup and cider, and 25 on the potions + tip. So he's at -5. Gets 2 potions.

Exile had 0, spent 20, so -20. Gets 2 potions.

Kamelion still has 25.

Jack has 0.

Leh dropped 25G he didn't have, so -25.

Zaranak has 0, but will allow him to pay the beggar if he wishes. (So don't worry about it this one time.)

Gold update:

Lucas: -5
Exile: -20
Kamelion: 25
Jack: 0
Leh: -25
Zaranak: 0

Gold updated on character sheets (1st page), healing potions added.
Without waiting, he slipped the healing potion to Zaranak's lips and poured it down his throat, before drinking his own with a sigh.
