How does the SP work now? Is it still tied to some account, are you considered a guest? What's the current situation, without bullshit or pushing your agenda, please.

The Deluxe edition is on sale on the front page, by the way.

Singleplayer should be fine. If I'm correct, there's still some sort of registration for multiplayer

Edit: There's some discussion about it

So yeah, registered multiplayer, seems like there's no proper Lan, but singleplayer seems to be ok.

So you're thinking about purchasing it, as I've been doing all these days!

I've searched reviews and posts on GoG and it seems we have to play as guests.
As I understand, there are no limitations by using this account, like on the first days of game's release.

I don't care for multiplayer, but if you're interested you have to create an account for it.

Yes. It would have been a done deal if they weren't shady. Is there a way to create a proper offline profile with saving your settings and playing the story mode?

I still haven't decided if they made a mistake by locking out features from the SP or if it was just a "bug". It's really hard to figure out, because most of the discussions are about ethics and the multiplayer modes.
I installed it and on first start it asks for your username password. There is a button labelled "Guest Logon" or similar, which is for offline play.

Thank you. So you can save your progress, your settings, but you can't create a user profile?
The settings like language and graphics are changed in the launcher for the program and it remembers those on next start, I only tested the offline/guest logon myself.

There is only one profile for the campaign in offline mode.
I started the high elves a little (tutorial) and then put it aside as there are many other games I want to play before coming back here :)

Bought it.
Reviews agree that there are no limitations using guest account for single player. This is OK for me.

Edit: Thanks to realkman666 for creating this thread and to all that provide us with info.

I still don't understand why you'd be a guest if you bought it, but thank you all.
Also once created the online account can be used offline aswell. I can live with that I guess..

Online account is too much for me (DRM), but I'll be fine with the guest account.

I like to use unique names in my games, that's why I use it, but it's not needed except for multiplayer.
