Zeewolf: With Eador: Masters of the Broken World and a new Fallen Enchantress, this year seems to be pretty good for turn based fantasy gaming. I mean, wow.
jamotide: Yeah, this genre seems to be gaining overall, with Warlock, Elemental and the in my opinion new genre king Eador:Genesis we sure cant complain anymore.
But I still will not ever preorder or "instabuy" any game of this type. The graphics will probably be blurry 3D blocks and the gameplay more simplified to appeal to the masses. Chances are that Aow:SM will remain prettier and more complex.
Might get it after the first half year of patching is done and if the gameplay is MORE complex than that of Shadow magic. No more dumbed down sequels for me.
From what I read on 'aow2 heaven forum', I have the impression the devs are well aware of their fan's needs and Triumph SHOULD know that modability is the greatest asset their game could have (in aow:sm the limit number of perks and factions and the frustration it has caused to modders, make me think that the 'potential' complexity will go all the way up).
