Hello,
i want to ask if there will be any adventures sometimes? I would like to see here Broken Swords (well, I bought all of them but it doesn't matter), Monkey Islands , Gabriel Knights , Indiana Jones (Fate of Atlantis), Atlantis and so on . . . Here, I see many great games , but my favourite genre are adventures and i think i am not alone around here.
I love adventure games aswell and I'd love to see Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis on GOG. I've always wanted to play that game. It's just too bad that Lucas Arts are a bunch of assholes... I mean come on, it's just a bunch of old games, why the hell are they so stubborn?!
Agreed, more adventure and RPG games would be most welcome. I'm just not into shooters, racing, or sports, though I expect to get Redneck Rampage just for the laugh factor and the soundtracks. :)
Heck, the topic is already hot elsewhere: if you ask for good'ol' Lucasarts adventures to be sold here, then you would have better luck with a voodoo doll to force Mr.George "The MI righs are mine, fuck ya all!!" Lucas to humbly contact the GOG.com team to arrange a deal :-D
I'm not talking only about Lucas Arts games (hm, Grim Fandango ... Memories ;) ) . There are many others games from different companies... Yeah , I know that all trademarks are now owned by EA... :(
When was the EXACT moment that Lucasarts went from being the most loved games company to the most despised?
Was it before or after they cancelled Sam & Max 2?
;-)
The Sierra/Lucasarts adventures would be great, but what I'd -really- like to see are the old Access Tex Murphy adventures like Under a Killing Moon, Martian Memorandum, etc... I loved those games. I remember playing UAKM on my shitty old 2x cd-rom and my even more shitty 25 MHz 486SX. Painful! :D
*sticks hand up*
I'm also one of the adventure fans, and it would be great to see more adventures here.
Like Tapeworm said, Tex Murphy games would be good - Pandora Directive, Under A Killing Moon etc.
Broken Sword series please (I know some of them are relatively new but in for a penny, eh?)

MinigunFiend: Broken Sword series please (I know some of them are relatively new but in for a penny, eh?)

Broken Sword 1 is actually freeware, as is Beneath a Steel Sky, IIRC. Throwing them in with a compilation of the rest of Revolution Software's games would be a nice extra, though.
Adventure games have always been my favourite genre, and while we can't hope to get LucasArts games on here there are many other companies that released excellent adventures. I'd love to see some of them on here (Sierra, Westwood, Revolution).

Broken Sword 1 is freeware now? Where can I find it? Already did Beneath a Steel Sky for free.

Sorry, I was mistaken. It's BASS and Lure of the Temptress that are freeware, not Broken Sword.

Me too, I would like to see (more) adventures here.
As LeftHandedMatt said, not only LA made good adventures.

As soon as they decided to start a new genre, the "Star Wars game".
Lucasfilm/arts dwelved in puzzles, action and fps as far as I can remember, but they were best known for their adventure games. I cannot understand what kind of genius thought that they should drop the adventure genre in favor of more Star Wars.(actually, I do. Consoles are a bitch to port a point&click adventure game)
Don't get me wrong, I loved those first SW games; x-wing, tie fighter, dark forces; but it has gone for too long now, like WW2 games (i've killed like half the casualties of the actual war by now!).
Adventure games that I would like to see on gog? hmmmmm, the kyrandia series probably, since I didn't get a chance to play them but heard a lot of good things about them. I'd also like to see more bundled games, like the recent castles and battle chess collection.
Cheers!
