Oslin007: As no one ever has seemed to mention the dig in this forum I just had to ask if its any good (just bought it from steam for 2 DOLLARS!!) It seems to have an epic feel and a cult status
It's been mentioned here quite a few times. And yes, it is very good. It's the least typical LucasArts game of all LucasArts games (if that makes sense) -- for one, it's not very funny and it's rather slow and meditative. It does feel very epic, yes; essentially, the overall theme is archaeology on an alien world, gradually uncovering how it worked and what went wrong (kind of like Rama). And it's got the most beautiful VGA backgrounds ever.
One thing you should know about this game is that there is one occasion (well, five, but they are identical) where you have to use alien machinery and not just click, but
hold down your mouse button over the thingy to make it work. As far as I know, it's the only instance of something like that in all of LA's repertoire, which explains why I have gotten stuck on it in both of my playthroughs (and felt like a complete idiot the second time).
