I never have seen anybody gloat their gamerscore, and I go to xbox360achievements.org every day and I am an avid community member. NOBODY shows off their score. Not in online matches, nowhere. They just like to collect them and get full 1000s. Not to show off, but because it's fun.

cogadh: My favorite new HL2 achievement so far? "Submissive", for throwing away the soda can at the beginning of the game. Wow, that was hard. Glad I got a full night's sleep before I did that.

I bet you are one of the lucky few who managed to get this one. Congratulations to your epic achievement.

Fable III has a feature where your weapon is affected by your gamerscore. Peter Molyneux hasn't yet revealed whether this is just based on your Fable III achievements or your combined gamerscore from all games, but either way it will have a direct, visible in-game effect, including during multiplayer. If the effect gamerscore has on weapons really is something significant you might see some bragging in this game.

Gloating achievements or gamerscore is nothing new. Hi-score list (with three-letter initials) in arcade games, anyone?

It'd have to be for fable 3 alone or it'd be giving a disadvantage to the type of person who thinks that playing avatar the last airbender for 5 minutes to get 1000 gamerscore is beneath them
