Why should he save his money?

PC gamers should be purchasing their PC versions of video games from gog.com instead of Steam. Right now Steam is getting to many PC versions of video game released for sale exclusively and I would like gog.com to take over Steam.

I want gog.com to get more PC versions of video games sold exclusively than Steam. So that Steam can finally have better customer support. Because Steam's customer support sucks right now.

I also hope that gog.com never adds Early Access. It's bad.

Just out of curiosity how do you know the exact amount of money? Does GOG track that or what?

It isn't too hard to calculate if you keep your receipts.

After doing the actual calculations, I've spent exactly 498.43 USD.

Congrats! Your achievment tells us one thing---GOG is offering a hell of pricing: 3.10$ per game---just ultra-fair pricment for us little customers!

I don't know about him but I keep a spreadsheet of my GOG games that include the purchase date, purchase price and normal price.

Yes as Darvond suggested I made a table containing all GOG and Steam purchases. What's interesting is that I spent nearly 20% less at Steam in 3.5 years (359 games). Steam had higher discounts though and introduced regional pricing in September 2011 when nearly half of that sum was already spent. So you get an idea how low are russian prices in Steam - in 9 months with western prices I spent as much as during almost 3 years with russian prices ;)
But I have to say that for a long time a main incenitive to spend money at GOG was to support CD Project Red to help them make Witcher 3 as good as it is today.

Congratulations!

This made me wonder how much I've spent since I joined because I did not keep track, at all. So far I've spent $305.97 which is more than I thought but seeing as this is several years worth of gameplay for the same price as food costs me for less than 3 weeks (just for one person), it's quite a good deal.

Feck me I aint never going to add up how much I spent. I think if I did then I'd be so shocked that I'd never spend another penny. And I'm pretty sure I've not spend 1000($|£|€) yet.

I did not keep track at all which is why I went and calculated everything prior to making the post.

Thought that was obvious, did you think I called up a Psychic Hotline ? :D
