Oh, if got something that is not directly connected to the games or site itself. Remember the "anti-piracy" shakedowns CDP was using a few month ago? If GOG would ever try to do something like this, I wouldn't buy a single from them anymore and would put all my GOGs as torrents online.

It was bad enough that CDP did it. While I wasn't one of those who left GOG altogether, I restricted my purchases only to games I didn't own on retail and wanted to play. So none. I didn't make a single purchase during the chrismas sale and the 100€ I had put aside extra for GOG went mostly to Amazon and Steam (But the chrismas sales were extremly good and cheap this year, my backlog is still huge and I didn't spend all of my warchest).

So, shady business practises would also be a no-go for me. Heck, worse than DRM and forced client anytime.

Switching to an Ikea virtual shelf. No way.

You'd have to scroll all the way down past all the broken shelves to find your pile of games at the bottom.

If they changed their name from Good Old Games to something else....

Answering the proposed thread question, I don't know what would keep me away from the site. Specially since I already have so much invested here.

Steam has never used court proceedings against 15 year old kids. Neither has EA, btw. There is a huge differnce between bad business practise and shady, immoral aplication of law.

And all the account banning is mostly hot air. Whenever there is somebody who claims he did nothing wrong, there is mostly something very wrong. And also, accounts don't usually get banned, they get restricted and you can still play your games (put no longer purchase new ones). And GOG still sells Dungeon Keeper 2 and Interstate '76, they aren't perfect either. Singleing out Steam like that is just showing a double standard.

Steam is certainly no angel, but they don't have the malignent intent that CDP showed.
