Best DOS game... too many to choose! Ah, the days of trying to strip your memory to the bone because some damn game you just bought required 600k to run. Can't tell you how many software developers I cursed to the pits of Tartaros for eternity. I remember one game required, I believe, 615k to run. Couldn't load windows, couldn't load ANYTHING.

Let's go with Dragon Wars: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Wars

One of my favorite RPGs of all time. Used the Bard's Tale III engine, but with a better auto-map. I loved how if you made a mistake, or a poor decision, it could have catastrophic ramifications. The game could still be played and won... but there were no fewer than THREE cities/areas you could utterly and permanently destroy if you messed up.
I'm in, thanks.
I loove Ultima 6-7 and of course Might and Magic 3-5!

Favourite DOS-Game? I don´t think I´ve ever finished one of those who are on GOG right now, but tried and enjoyed many...
...oh, and I´ve played a LOT of Dungeon Master and Warcraft II---proberbly no need to link them :D

Oh, and yo´ve reminded me that I HAVE to rebuy Lands of Lore---Beutiful game that always crushed in PreGOG-Era at my PC ;)

I'm in! Thanks again for the opportunity.
Favorite DOS era game? I'm not even sure which of the games I played were DOS. Hmmm, maybe Outlaws by Lucas Arts?
I'am in, once again.
Can I have TWO favourite games from the DOS era? If that's the case then Wolfenstein 3D and Doom 2 are the chosen ones.

Count me in space chimp!! Thanks to you and The Sigil for yet another giveaway!!
I'm in! Thanks for the opportunity!

Dark Forces was up there as a favorite for me, although it might not be considered a true DOS game - I was running it on Windows 95.

I'm in, thank you!

"Shadow of the Comet" was definitely one of my favorite DOS games, for its unique story and setting, it was based around Lovecraft's Mythos.
(Vote for it here! ^^)

I'm in. Thank you.

THE DOS era games, for me, are the SSI Gold box series. That is how real RPGs are made.

I am in, thanks.
My favourite DOS-era games would be the Commander Keen series, Civilization, and a roguelike named Ragnarok.
Thank you Sachys and the Sigil. I'm in.

Favourite DOS game is Dune 2.
The first RTS I ever played and finished.....
Long battles and difficult controls but that game could really bring other worlds to my pc.
I remember a certain mission, where my opponent and me had exactly 1 tank and we attacked each other.
After the tanks destroyed each other we kept building tanks and sending them to battle, one on one.
We raced for about an hour for who would build a second tank before the other and gain the advantage.
I'm in! My favorite DOS game not on GOG is probably Command & Conquer, the first one.
