The mother of my cat angel and all her brothers and sisters of various generations was hit by a car jut out side our house just 5 mintues after she had come in and had a feed and pat.

Yeah she wasn't always the nicest cat but she had her loving moments and it was quick.
Life and family ( that is what our animals are too many of us! ) always take priority. Sorry for your loss.
Phoebe had her blood test last Thursday.

She was at 30 when initially admitted to the vets, 17 when she was dismissed and 11.5 now.

Healthy range is between 3 and 10. Not quite there (and don't know if it will get any lower) but at least it has gone in the right direction!
Condolences, and best of health to Phoebe.

The only reason I don't have cats is because I'm always hovering around the breakeven point and I'd abhor not being able to finance my cats healthcare if it came to that. If I had extra money getting cats would be at the top of my list. I grew up with lots of them (16 at one point due to two pregnancies!), including a wonderfully gentle white cat that was with me from birth till I was 18 (he died being 19 years old). I've shed many tears over lost cats in my life.

Cats are always a worthy excuse.
Good to hear Phoebe's doing all right. 11.5 is at least very close to the healthy range!
Happy to hear your Phoebe is on the mend.
Only just noticed this. I'm sorry for your loss; our parents' cat has started to look her age (sixteen) and even though she remains as healthy as ever, I know that her eventual death will be painful for the whole family.

Best wishes to you. Take care.
Sorry for your loss xyem, best of luck with Phoebe! It is amazing how pets become part of the family. Your in our thoughts and take care.
Glad to hear she has made such positive progress!
