Some of you may have noticed that I've been missing the past couple of weeks or so.

The reason for this was one of my cats, Diego, got very ill and passed away on the 1st September. When we fetched him to bring him home (we buried him underneath the bush where he used to sit and watch the butterflies) we had bloodwork done on Phoebe too "just in case" as she wasn't showing any symptoms.

The next day, she was also taken to stay at the vets due to the bloodwork results. Though she was still in the "concern" range, she came home later that week and we're now caring for her as she recovers and grieves her lost brother with us.

I didn't visit GOG as I was engaged in a discussion where I would certainly have taken my grief, anger and worry out on the other participants.

I will decide later what I want to do with regards to the weekly giveaway.
dont worry please just take some time for yourself!
im sorry for your loss and your worry, its really really hard loosing a part of the family like that.

and yes you wrere missed, not because of the g/a because of you not being around!
gentle hugs and cookies for you.
always here if you want to / need to chat.

I had a cat once...Beautiful black cat, nearly a meter long from head to tail... And one day he just left and never came back... And that made me sad. I got over it.
Very sorry to hear about your cat, xyem. My condolences.
Don't know what to say. Sorry to hear that again.
I'm sorry for your loss. Don't worry about giveaways and such, just take some time to heal with your family.
Im sorry to hear that mate. Hope all goes better in the coming days
Really sorry for you loss, xyem. *hug*
Hey Xyem!

I hope you are feeling better. I do empathize with the loss of a loved cat as I had this happen to me about 3 years back. She was a pure black ball of chubbiness and fur and was one of my best friends and that is pretty amazing considering the reputation cats have as being aloof and uncaring.

I hope your pain and grief won't last long and that you will always remember the good times you had with Diego :)
I'm sorry for your loss, it must be very painful to lose a loved pet.

I don't even want to think about how I'll react when one of my cats passes away...
I hope your other cat recovers and has many years ahead of it.

I had a cat just like that. I was amazed he lasted 14 years given his insane appetite.

My cat used to be my alarm clock, I'd just think at her "I need to be up at 6 AM" and she'd wake me up right on the dot. Freaking weird, I tell you :D
Take your time dude. We're thinking of you
Aw no - that's very sad. I'm sorry about Diego. Did the vet say what the cause was?
