Does voting for stuff there have any effect on what games are gonna get gogafied or is it just to keep people from posting "I want "some game" on GOG."?

It has the effect of GOG being able to show publishers "look how many people want to buy your game at our store", and thus maybe getting slightly higher chances of getting here.

In addition, I hope it'll slightly lower the rate of such threads being created.
