Alright, time for another GOG contest!

General Contest: Festive-ize a screenshot of any game and make it holiday themed or make a meme/draw a cartoon featuring the game and the holiday. Note: this can be any winter holiday of your choosing - lunar or solar calendar.

Prizes will be:

1) First place: 2 $2.99 games or 1 $4.99 game of your choosing
2) Second place: 1 $2.99 game of your choosing

To enter:

1) attach your meme/cartoon/doctored screenshot
2) say the name of the game and the holiday you chose
3) say what game(s) you would like should you win first or second place.

You will be judged on the humor, creativity, and festivity of your submission. So it will be entirely subjective. :)

Realms of Arkania Contest: Due to the generosity of GOG forumer SimonG, I have a Realms of Arkania 1&2 code for this contest. The guidelines are the same as above, with the additional requirement that the screenshot/cartoon has to be from a RPG (can be any one of your choosing).

Overall Rules: You may make multiple submissions - one post per submission to make things easier for me. Please declare explicitly any given submission to be for the General or the Realms contest. One submission cannot be used for both contests. While you may make submissions for each contest, you cannot win a prize in both contests.

The submission window ends 12:00am PST (8:00am GMT) Tuesday morning Dec. 20th 2011. Codes will be sent via PM Tuesday/Wednesday depending on how long it takes me to review all of the submissions and make a final judgement. If you have any questions, post and I will answer.

EDIT: I just got Far cry, so I'll change to Dark Reign + Expansion for $4.99 game, or Dark Reign 2 for $2.99 game :)

You know what, duck it. Even if I didn't notice that this has to be christmassy and jolly and all, but I'm uploading it anyway.

This is an anti-dedication to the Old Hag from Witcher, on the first floor of Shani's house in Vizima. Annoying old creep...

Anyway, enjoy my shitty drawing.

I've never been very good at the whole image editing thing, so i decided to just put a Santa hat on good old Tex..

The story behind the screenshot is that Tex was feeling a bit down on the day before Christmas. He had received no case in quite some time, and he had spent his evening drinking cheap whiskey, and playing ludo with himself. As evening turned to night, Tex got bored, he went out for a walk. About half a mile from home he came across a toy store that was still open, and outside it was a man dressed as Santa, trying to lure in some last minute shoppers into the store. Feeling a bit mischievous (and a quite drunk) Tex decided to play a little prank on old Santa. He ran up and nabbed his hat, put it on his head and did a silly dance. The store manager noticed him though, grabbed a broom and used it to chase away Tex. Now Tex is walking through a park, all alone, with a bump and a Santa hat on his head, thinking that this might not have been his best idea.



Anyway, the games I'm interested in are:
Shattered Steel & Little Big Adventure (only shattered steel in case of a second place)

And as I would like a chance at realms of arkania, here is another very simple photoshop (or rather paint.net) job. The game is King of dragon pass, a CRPG/Strategy hybrid... thing... It is an odd one, a very narrative game that I think you all should check out if you have the chance

The holiday is Lucia, celebrated on the 13th of December. If I were better at image editing, then the duck would have a white robe as well and not just a crown.

Today I am honoring Celebrity day, a real Scientology holiday which should in no way be mocked or derided in any form. The game is The Binding of Isaac.

I would like to win either Another World or Nox.
