Based on the forum topic Does This Bother Anyone Else?? I have a question:

Why when you are in a party with lot of people and have really good time you want to take pictures and post them on social networks?

To prove they were there, after all in our age of the social networks if you did upload it you weren't really there.
No offense to the question, but if I was the type to go to parties do you think I'd be playing games and hanging out in here all day?

Who knows, you might be the guy who's glued to his smartphone all the time and awkwardly bumps into people on his way to get a beer.
This is obviously something more common with girls but haven't you seen them with pictures of their friends all over their binders, in picture frames, and on their walls? I just assume this fulfills the same need but faster.

There are 4 assumptions in that question which do not apply to me.

LAN parties were the only parties I attended, apart from birthday p. and some rare events. Well, the cut was more likely 70/30, but you get the idea.

People there mostly just stared at their monitor, but I think we connected better than if we got wasted and swore to each other how much we love them, man.
I don't, generally...
dunno, as I don't do that sort of thing
If its just dance we are dancing, then whoever posts a photo or video on Facebook or Twitter....Won't be seen in a looooooooong time

Speaking for myself, social networking sites are the 21st century version of the scrapbook and photo album.

Of course, I'm also considerate and careful enough to never post anything that could potentially get anyone fired or arrested, and to ask first before I tag. Not everyone is scrupulous enough to follow that philosophy, especially teenagers and nouveau-drinkers.

Let me guess:
party
a lot of people
take pictures
social networks

How did I do? :D

Anyway, to answer the question: it's about sharing. I share photos with my family and some close pictures sometime but I do it over cloud storage services or something similar, never on social networks because when they get there they have the rights to do what they want with them and I don't like that.

Actually I seem to be the worse kind, because if I go to a party, all I take is pictures of the food :-)
