How do you figure to compare Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six to Deus Ex? Completely different style of gaming.

They are all FPS games. Of course Deus Ex is more open in some ways, but it is still an FPS. As for style, you can play Deus Ex as a pure shooter if you want. It will just be that much more difficult. Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six Vegas can be played in a stealth or guns blazing ways too, although of course you have to use violence. Fallout 3 for obvious reasons.
As for the "fuck you" comments. Meh.

They are all more or less, shooters and they do require skills other than quickly aiming for the head. I don't see why not. And they are great games on their own.

Rainbow Six Vegas bored the bejeesus out of me, as did Ghost Recon. But that's just my opinion. :P

Well, you can't actually call Deus Ex an FPS. Much the same way that you can't call Vampire: Bloodlines the same thing. Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six are tactical shooters, and only that. Deus Ex may be first person, but it is also an RPG.
Branching conversation trees, skill levelling, multiple approach to problems et cetera. Fallout 3 would be a closer comparison to Deus Ex because it's atleast the same hybrid genre.
The Ghost Recon/R6 to Deus Ex is a very generalised, and simplified comparison. It's like saying Rise of Nations is the same as The Witcher. I mean, you DO have to click the mouse. ;)
As for the "fuck you", nothing personal. Deus Ex is ugly as fuck, but it atleast has to be acknowledged for making a very impressive mark in gaming history, whether one likes it or not.

For whatever reason (probably a post I saw on RPS), last night I was watching clips on youtube, and seeing parts/dialogue (not in a mod) I don't recall encountering.
I do have it installed, so...

I'm not going to learn French just to play a game.

What happened to the fanatical love of Crusader? Has it offended you in some way? Giving you the Silencer treatment?
