Hmm. I think I solved most of it - "ox" and "suede" were the ones that got me on the right track.
I haven't quite figured out how the two lines with the stars figure in. I think I know what they stand for, but they are clearly different from the others. I have a hunch what I need to do with them, but haven't been able to test it yet ...
... because "surely forgot (3)" has, so for, withstood all my attempts to crack it. Which is weird, from the look of it it should be easier than most of the others ...
Edit: Okay, figured out "surely forgot". But my hunch for the two lines with the stars seems to have been wrong. I'm pretty sure that I got the code correct except these two ... hmmmm ...
Edit 2: Okay, figured out the code. :) This was a fun, challenging riddle, and I think it took me 2-3 full hours to solve it.
I already own the game at two other shops though, so I didn't take it. The prize is still up for grabs. :)

These are both incorrect, though B and R do each appear once in the final code, and you are certainly headed in the right direction. If I were to tell you the answer to ox, I suspect you'd figure the rest of the puzzle quite quickly. The answers to the 16 clues should not feel arbitrary; When you solve one, I think you'll feel confident that you're correct. That is, you won't be asking yourself something like, "What the hell does green frog have to do with anything?" (Or so I hope!)

Very cool puzzle. I worked out how to solve it but missing a few. Not sure I'll solve it in time as I need to go watch Game of Thrones in 10 minutes but congrats to anyone who works it out. :D

I need to get better at choosing prizes, I think. Maybe buying more recent GOG games makes the most sense. I could offer a choice of games in future, but a 16 character GOG code makes a nifty puzzle solution. Hmm.

Tried solving the puzzle yesterday while at work, but I guess I'm either too dumb or the environment distracted me enough not to fully devote to solving - in any case, I'm eager to wait for the instructions (=solution) on how to really crack this tough nut. (And it's not like I need yet another free game soon, after winning two giveaways yesterday evening)

Ha. Well it's definitely possible. Virtue's Last Reward does something very similar to this; every puzzle room in the has two different solutions - one solution just allows you to escape the room, the other also provides a bunch of extra story exposition.
Anyway, you'd want to make sure the real code requires several more steps to obtain the the psych-out code, so people don't stumble onto the real code first. Also, ideally, you would want to foreshadow the existence of a real code; you want to confuse and piss people off, but not toooo much.
If you want to try the idea out, I have a spare TeenAgent code you can use: KPSM-TRRN-NDH3-GEDS :P
