My favorite RPG of all time would have to be Ultima III: Exodus. I played it way back on my Commodore 64 and it was the first game that pretty much drew me in to the fantasy world role-playing game. It had cool party based combat and I remember the music fit the game so well. Ah, the memories...
I’d have to say, that my favourite rpg of alltime is Final Fantasy 6. I remember playing it in junior high, and was immediately blown away. The awesome graphics, unforgettable music and wide cast of characters made it a truly epic experience. It also has the most evil villain of alltime: Kefka. The laughing maniac has no conscience, going so fas as to poisoning civilians in order to kill enemy soldiers stationed to a castle.

Final Fantasy 7 is also top of my list, but 6 has always special meaning to me.
my fave RPG of all time is ...Planescape : Torment....oh...wait...

Just messin, I have a couple of copies already, so dont need one, jst wanted to say kudos for the giveaway :)
Hard to say. As a stand alone RPG, "The Legend of Dragoon" for ps1. As a series, "Paper Mario 1", "Final Fantasy 7/10", "Pokemon Silver", "Fallout 3", and others I can't recall at the moment, based one what gave me the most enjoyment. All of these games I liked the story, the music, the atmosphere, the style, the variety, the pacing, so on. To go into detail would take far too long and far too much effort to do so for right now.
Already have Planescape: Torment so not entering, but +1 for the giveaway. One of my all time favourite games.
I have to say Chrono Trigger too... A game that was all about J-RPG's cliches... But did everything right...
Maybe is nostalgia (like N0x0ss said)... But doesn't matter, i love it anyway... ;p
and i LOVE the characters, the story, the music, the graphics, the battle system...

the only thing i hate about it, is that it broke all the other J-RPGs for me....

Thanks to both of you! ;p
Not entering, since I own already it (thanks, AnonymousGiftBot !), but thanks for the giveaway, Zangtesu & wpegg!

Also, a little promotion to it:

Of classic RPGs: Baldur's Gate. Of new ones: SW:KoTOR.

No need to explain my reasons to those who have played them. And those who have not, what are you waiting for? :D
Gothic 2 or KOTOR
No need to explain as both are so good everybody knows
My favorite is probably Lands of Lore 1. I love the story and characters. The gameplay was quite intuitive and the spell system was pretty cool. Puzzles were challenging but not too difficult, and the maps had a nice amount of secrets. Just an all around great game to introduce someone to RPGs.

And who could forget Patrick Stewart!
Fallout. It was one of the first ones I played and I really like the setting, story and combat system. And Harold.

Thanks for the giveaway to both of you.
My favourite RPG has always been Final Fantasy IV. One of the first games I played for the SNES, and the first one that displayed that console RPGs could be more than the grinds I associated with FF1 and DQ1. It also got me involved in my first online community, back on the Prodigy message boards. Final Fantasy VI was a better game, but it never really got to me the way FFIV did.

Thanks to you!
Every single one of my many Fallout 2 playthroughs was a joy to behold. Gothic 2 is in the running.

I suppose I should finally see what this Torment thingamabob is all about. :P

Zalpha: Forgive my ignorance but what or who is wpegg?
A fellow forum user. Pleased to meet you. There was a bit of a mix up in paying out on a gift I owed Zangtesu, so he's passing it on, and sharing the thanks with me.
