Ok, I've had a crack at drawing up the spreadsheet. It's pretty disparate, but here's my suggestion:

Shadowrun Returns
Moebius
Harvester
SIN Gold
Broken Age
Memoria
Arx Fatalis
Steamworld Dig

I'm a bit concerned it's about twice as much as this usually costs, but I'm more interested that people really will play the game. So, what's the verdict, are people up for this list?

Have a look at the spreadsheet itself if you wish, perhaps you've got some better ideas? List is on Sheet2, people's choices on Sheet 1.

I think you really shouldn't go above 100$ cost. So maybe drop Moebius as most expansive game in the list and replace it with something cheap (6$ or lower). Also as this is GOG there should be at least one really old game, like let's say Cannon Fodder. O:-D
i was one that picked moebius, game list seems a bit short like this, i would be in favor for some smaller ones thus more people winning something and reducing cost. but then the same would apply for broken age.

why not make use of the promo's and get something from there. it might not be what (everyone) picked but i am sure there is some stuff in them that people want too, and its even less cost for you.

I'm not so bothered by the extra cost as long as the players really get into it. For me it's better to spend a bit more if we can have a really good game. Also I was going to spice things up with Moebius, and I'm curious to see how that pans out. I might even chuck an extra oldie in there like I did last time if we get a few more players than codes to allocate.
4 games from my wishlist ? Hell yeah ! :D

The thing is, if we saturate the codes it stops being a competition and becomes a simple trade down. There has to be a limit to the number of games in order to encourage nastiness.

yeah not sure how many players you have, there will always be games someone doesnt want and do want, so it does pertain some nastiness, though maybe not enough. but it's your call in the end. or do a cointoss to drop either broken age or moebius :p you have to think about your costs too.

I have been really on the fence about this one while contemplating whether to be in for it or not. It seems like a great way to do a giveaway but I feel I am to naive to be any good at it and not having been part of any of the previous ones doesn't help either. Also I guess its probably too late now so thank you very much for this amazingly generous giveaway wpegg and +rep to you. :)

You're welcome to join in. There's no real science to it. It's simply a matter of being present, and trading smartly. A few days before I'll start posting a few suggestions to bring people up to speed. Some people take a very methodical strategy of writing out what their targets are, and identifying who has what. Others take a more lightweight, see what they can get, and play it by ear.

So join if you wish, the argument that you've not played before is pretty poor, as by that reasoning no-one new could ever play.

Well thank you very much for the reply wpegg, I am in then as it does sound like good fun regardless of what happens on the day. And ofcourse you're right my logic for trying out new things is idiotic to say the least, it is something that stems from childhood habits as when I was a kid I was very particular and hesitant to try out new things to eat because of which I missed out on a lot of tasty treats which I really like now. :)

I'd like to be in, but I don't know if I'll be here when it's time to rumble! Maybe next time, have fun, guys!

Wpegg usually has "free slots" at the last second (life happens and sometimes peeps just can't show up), so if you're around, ping him and I'm sure he'll throw you into the shark tank with the rest of us ;-D
That's a good idea, I'll fave the thread and see what happens! Thanks for the heads up! :)

Sweet list, wpegg! I am really excited to finally be in this time ;-D While it was fun to watch from an outsiders perspective the last two times, I'm really excited to be a player this time and I cannot thank-you enough for hosting and gifting ;-)
Does this mean I'm in? ;) Some of the games I voted for made it to this round! :D
