As far as I know, it tells you your current time and then you add GMT and use the slider to locate 7pm GMT. It then tells you what your local time will be.

Right now it is showing 4:16 GMT so 7:00 is in 2 3/4 hours... with check-in here at 2 1/4 hours,,,

I'm sure wpegg will pop-in at some point and correct me if I'm wrong...

ok yeah the uk is gmt+1 so its 8 there when we start which will be 9 here as my time is gmt+2

stg83: Wow, thank you so much again for not only holding such a unique and awesome giveaway but also for taking the time out to post an FAQ for us noobs of nastiness ;). It was extremely helpful and getting to learn the history of this giveaway and how it has been refined over time to reach its current state was really fascinating. the icing on the cake was the suggested strategies post that you made which has given me insight on the nastiness that is in store. But, I am curious though how did you first come up with the concept of this giveaway because right now it just seems astonishing how well balanced it is with the rules currently defined.

I will most definitely be there and looking forward to all the craziness in store today, see y'all there. :)
The idea actually sprung up in the last day of the original run of ninja giveaways. I was giving away a copy of the witcher 2, and there were 12 people lined up to play. I suggested I just give each of them a letter then post the other 4, and let them sort it out amongst themselves. Pavel suggested it would be chaos, I liked that idea. Now we've done 4 of them, the rules have been tinkered with each time.
