AlexY: Really? Didn't know that...

Yeah, it's one of many companies that Actiivision absorbed and destroyed.

Free t-shirt? From Activision? Are you mad? :P No, you have to pay substantially more for the t-shirt.

klaymen: And the newer games will be like $9.99 per level/mission/racing track/whatever?

Then you've got the regional price hikes the increasing prices and the stone cold death of GOG. No, Activision should be kept out at any cost.

Here are a couple of tweets that were made yesterday that are relevant to this thread:
"Okay, so I'm more than a little excited about the new publisher announcement we're working on."
Followed by
"By the way, this announcement isn't happening for a while. So don't get too excited just yet :)"
It could be Capcom, perhaps. I remember there were talks earlier this year that they would speak with GOG, so it may finally have gotten through. Other than that, and besides what has already been mentioned, I can think of a few other possibilities:
1C Publishing?
2K?
THQ?
Zenimax?
Whoever it is, I'm excited!

I just wish they'd give a hint like "after New Year's" or "before Christmas"... so I know how much time I've got to save up some spare change. :)

I just want them to give us obscure teaser clues like they've done in the past; makes the guessing game that much more fun.

Man, they should do what Criterion do with their film releases and just have a little image (like the one I've attached) before the game's announced that's related, but not too obvious.

Same. GOG could release a real hint for us. :/
New post from Tom Ohle:
"Running around like a maniac planning our mondo publisher announcement @GOGcom. Been a long day and a half since the process started."
Mondo! :D

chautemoc: Mondo! :D

For a claim like that we better at least be looking at THQ. That's a bare minimum and I love THQ.

Yes sir.
A "mondo publisher agreement"? What does that mean?
THQ would be sweet, Red Faction, Company of Heroes, Titan Quest, and so on, but I thought they were already onboard on some level due to the release of Broken Sword 2 and 3.

Mondo means bizarre. Now if thats a good or bad thing for a publisher I guess we will find out in the coming weeks.
Bizarre huh ... it's bizarre calling a publishing agreement bizarre :P
That, to me, points in either of two directions; it could be some kind of back-from-the-dead 90s publisher (I'd suggest Apogee had they not already been here) who have come forward and still have the rights to their games.
Or, it could be a deal which is so big it's bizarre it's even been made. But that really only leaves alternatives such as EA, Atari, or Lucasarts.

Can't it also mean really big or huge ?

Navagon: Sierra is Activision now. So I'm not entirely sure I'd be keen to see them here.
