And looks like an adventure game from one of the pseudo-indie devs. Those never really died.
If you just keep your eyes open, you can find plenty of games in pretty much every genre (even hardcore sims and space-combat games). But when you only check the major sites (even RPS is guilty of this, to an extent. But they ARE better at covering the less popular genres) you only ever see FPS, RTS, and RPG.

Yeah, except the apparent villain of the piece looks like a guy who'd give guns and money to the Earth Liberation Front. The Planeteers didn't do eco-terrorism... much.. as far as I can remember...
It does make me wonder what a couple of people are supposed to do to change the past. Also, I don't get how this doesn't create some kind of time paradox in which changing the past creates a future in which there is no need to go back and change the past.
Eh, we'll see what happens when it comes out.

"Time" stops being "time" if you can travel through it any other way than constantly 1 s/s forward. As such - the fundamental premise of the plot doesn't and never will make sense.
It can still be a fun game, though.

i think they're trying to do a completely different art style for each of their adventures. i particularly like this one though.

Every part of the storyline and character bio's section is basically a kick in the groin for the global warming skeptic. Especially Indez's gives a critical hit with a power fist.

times arrow can point both ways, accelerate a wormholes opening to near light speed and fly it around for a few years now because the two ends are temporaly linked going through that will send you back in time.
The only true limit to time travel is that you can only go back to the point at which your machine was built no earlier.

Hold on there, this is now a fact? It was said by one guy that was raising money for his theoretical time machine, and gave no proof whatsoever.
The thing with time relativism, the "higher speed - slowing time " thing, was in fact proven (two really good clocks, one on earth, the other in a space capsule, and then compared the times).
The only reason that you can't go back into the past, if you had a "working" time machine, is that you could create a time paradox, like kill yourself actively or passively trough your actions. In that way, your "future" would not exist, or making an alternate universe.

This is a really narrowed down argument that suggests that as long as you DON'T create a paradox, things would be fine.
They wouldn't. If the past is truly THE past, that means you've already been there. The chronological order wouldn't match the subjective one. What's more - if you moved into a time where YOU already existed - WHO the hell would be "you" ? Two minds, two bodies, same person ? You could build an army o "yous".
What about free will ? If you travel to the past - why the hell SHOULD people make the same decisions ? Is the world truly a big clockwork machine ? Even if so - EVERY change, even the smallest, sends ripples through the entire world.
It's nonsense.

I always sounded so megalomaniac to me, to think that we can MAKE an entire UNIVERSE by simply doing something. Wouldn't it be simpler to "just" assume that there exists an infinety number of alternative universes ? For example - "stillshots" of EVERYTHING at a moment. This would mean that we are, in fact, going through all these stillshots and "time" is a name we give to travelling between these worlds, i.e.: "change".
