The word "Catholic" is not in there but it is described in chapter 17. There is only one place on earth with its description that sits on seven hills. If you still don't try to go and study something, then you speak with no grounds to do so.

Soyeong: There was no such thing as declaring bankruptcy in the ANE, so your options we either to starve, beg, or sell yourself into slavery. If you were able bodied, then begging wasn't an option. The way that the Old Testament commands Israel to treat there slaves was akin to indentured servitude and it was a huge improvement over the way that other nations treated their slaves.

I was raised in a Catholic family. Went to a Catholic private school. Walked away from it when I was old enough to figure out the Catholic church didn't follow Yeshua. I know the difference.

Calling BS. Catholicism is a form of christianity no matter if you like it or not. I also grew up in a catholic family.

pimpmonkey2382: You can never know the authors intent, they were unknown. And you can't possibly know what they were thinking with as vaguely written as it is.
That's what textual criticism is for. We can study most works of literature to learn the authors intent and the authors of the Bible are no exception.
