At first I thought/hoped the thread would be about this man: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VakjZqso8Ik#t=02m00s
He too tied today. Rest his disco-loving soul.

Wow... My abacus says that's 53 years ! I never realized he was president for so long...
Woah! Half a century? I'd be willing to bet had he been more healthy, he would have pushed for 60.

I can't imagine 50 years in a job like that. My hat goes off to him for that alone.

Wow, didn't know Nintendo had been around that long. That's just five years after WWII. What were they doing before the Nintendo game system? Board games?

Edit: they've been around since 1889. A playing card company

It's always awkward to be the only one in the room who doesn't get the joke... :(

A specific japanese type of card games called hanafuda . Nintendo is actually much older than that, I believe it was founded in the late 19th century .

I got the joke, it just reads rude, and well, is honestly too soon.

Indeed, being Japanese, he should have about 30 to 40 years left to live.

When plugging the game cartridges into the console they sometimes didn't work. You would blow into the end of the cartridge that plugs into the console, and then it would magically work again.

I never understood that sentiment, unless you were slinging dirt at someone. I don't feel that is insulting the guy that brought so many people so much joy.

Consider the context of 'blow on him' to someone who doesn't understand the jest.

Oh, thanks XD It's pretty hilarious now. I feel like those slow people who always laugh last, but that was great.

I was blowing on my cartridges too, it just didn't click me when referred to people... :P
