Not in but this.
Glad to hear you aren't leaving for good, sad though it is we will see less of you.

Here is one of my favourites - a very toungue-in-cheek christmas song that makes me chuckle every time:
Tripod: I hate your family - hope it doesn't offend people :)

(Thus count me in)

Sorry to hear/see you not so often the next time
Not in but thanks for your contributions here and the song - reminded me of the luck to witness a performance in sydneys cathedral - goosebumps
This one is heard in church at 24. in germany and its also always something special
Stille Nacht
I'll take a shot at this :)

Christmas songs, Christmas songs... well, I'm a huge Beatles fan, but I also think the solo careers of the band's members are worth following. All four of them have made great songs since their breakup. But anyways, I'll say Happy Xmas (War is Over) by John Lennon. A beautiful song with a lot of meaning, and with a lot of relevance to the conflicts happening right this second across the world :)

I'm in, and thanks for the giveaway. :-)

I have 2 favorites. First is a funny one. I grew up as a huge fan of Looney Tunes, so hearing Porky's Blue Christmas makes me laugh every year.

The second is by one of my favorite bands of all time, Savatage, and it's called Christmas Eve Sarajevo. Most people know it from the last 15 years or so as being done by a band called Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The two are more/less the same band. The driving force behind Savatage was vocalist/song-writer Jon Oliva and his long-time friend/producer Paul O'Neill. The song was an almost instant hit, and although Savatage hoped it would mean greater success for the band, mainstream music fans didn't pick up on them. Sensing there could be a future if they recorded a record dedicated to Christmas music with an entire orchestra, they went ahead & did so under the alter-ego of Trans-Siberian Orchestra. TSO sold very well and they continued to release Savatage records (which did not sell any better than before). Eventually, they simply morphed into TSO, and Jon Oliva continued to write for both his own solo records (in the style of earlier Savatage) as well as for TSO (in the style of symphonic Christmas music).

Hope everyone enjoyed my little song report. :-)

[EDIT] P.S. No Christmas goes by that I don't enjoy this little gem.

I'm, thank you for the giveaway.

We didn't really celebrate Christmas until recently cause all the market value, well except waiting for Christmas present when I was a child.Back to topic, I don't really know any other Christmas until I studied abroad in US. Still can't pick any favorite Christmas song.

Here is something I goolge, I like it MV and the tone sound very peace to me. Joel, the Lump of Coal

Let me snuck a Chinese hip pop Christmas song in HERE.

Another Chinese Christmas song here, Lonely Christmas.

AND Here is one and only my favorite Christmas song for anyone who don't care about Chrismas!

"Xmas? I don't know such a thing!!" - A Japanese song.

SalarShushan: It's sad, but aside from some explicitly Christian songs/hymns/carols (which many here would not appreciate,) my favorite Christmas songs are funny ones

_Slaugh_: Then you'll love all the twisted Christmas songs from Bob Rivers:

Always fun to listen.

_Slaugh_: Then please, don't listen to this one:

Bob Rivers - Chipmunks Roasting on an Open Fire

Sorry, I couldn't resist! :-D
Those ARE GREAT!! I'd heard the 12 pains of Christmas on the radio but I hadn't heard the chipmunk one before. LOL!! That's an excellent parody of the classic Nat King Cole classic
avatar
wolfsrain: Leave my chipmunks alone, sir. Or else....
Sorry, but I prefer The Chipettes! ;-)

The Chipettes - All I Want For Christmas Is You
I'm in.

My favorite Christmas song is Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence. Well, apart from the title I wonder if this even counts as a Christmas song, but who cares, right?

Thanks for the giveaway and best wishes to you! I hope this decline in activity is for positive reasons only. :)

I'm in!

My favourite Christmas song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuWD-mSUtrU

Because it comes from such a macabre animated feature; kind of a different take on Christmas, without too much lovey-dovey stuff. An outsider wondering what this Christmas is all about.
