My GOG tribute page has a google +1 like button on it. It would be great if people could add it ;)

Or we could, you know, find each other here.

I'm not a social network person at all, but these kind of groups on social networks can help bring in more customers to GOG.

I don't get an email about everything you do here. What if I need some more Wishbone in my life?

That's fine, but I'm already a GOG customer. I don't need a social network group to bring me here ;-)

I check this forum several times a day. I log into my Facebook account maybe once every two months. I have no Google+, Twitter, MySpace, etc. accounts, and I aim to keep it that way. But the rest of you, go right ahead :-)

You can look through my old forum posts ;-p

Except for the people who are more active in other places rather than the forums, such as IRC, Twitter, FB, G+, etc. :)

In that case, they probably won't see this thread ;-)

But some who might be interested in getting together with other GOGers outside this forum might. That's the reason we also have an IRC thread and so on.

I know, I'm just messing with you ;-)

Truth be told, I am rather pissed about GOG's social media presence, but only because they seem to prioritize it higher than their own site. It seems to me that often, if you want to know what's happening with GOG, the only place you certainly won't find out is right here. And I think that's a very strange and backward way of running a business.

I agree with that.
Isn't it strange, seeing each others profile face and real names instead of GOG's user name and avatar. Well, for now I want to remain semi anonymous here in GOG.

Which is in no way restricted to GOG. But I won't run after them to find the news, I think it should be in their own interest to make the news available to all customers. If reaching people like me (and you, presumably) is not that important, I will spend my free time doing other stuff.
