penumbren: Jeremy Brett is still Holmes to me.

Ragnarblackmane: I actually started with an even old rendition, Bastil Rathbone, watching them broadcast on AMC and TCM with my dad. I discovered Brett much later but really appreciate his take on the character. Another favorite still though is...

Not even kidding.
So, since the ether apparently ate the first response I tried to post.... :P

Shortly, I like the Rathbone movies and own several of them. Pretty sure that Jeremy Brett was actually the first Holmes I saw on screen, and he nailed it so perfectly that he'll always be my Holmes. Kind of like people have different Doctors. :)

I haven't seen Data as Holmes, because no matter how much I dearly love ST:TOS, I've never been able to get into ST:TNG. I tried, for the first two years it was on, and then gave up. I'll have to watch the Holmes episodes, at least, at some point as I've never heard anything bad about them from anyone.

And back to your Ultima question: I saw a video of that infamous UO moment, I believe, but that's as close as I've ever come to UO. I never played RPGs on the computer growing up, so my first time playing Ultima was this summer. Sadly, between our summer trip and our move, I left off in the middle and still need to get back to it. I quite enjoyed it, so I'm looking forward to playing through the series and getting to see how such an influential set of games evolved.

Well, as to ST:TNG, the first couple of seasons are mostly terrible. I was a bit too young for the show when it premiered, which is a good thing, as I started watching it during season 3. After going back and trying to watch some of the first couple seasons I decided that they simply don't exist in my Trek canon ;) The only brief exceptions being some of the campy but still fun "holodeck programs gone mad!" episodes involving said Holmsian Data.
not in but thanks for this generous giveaway Ragnarblackmane ! +1
I AM IN but only for Always Sometimes Monsters (even though I answered more questions)

Thank you for the wonderful GA!!! +1!!

Favorite Detective : Poirot - I love Agatha Christie's work and how to makes his character almost perfect (at least for me I love his quirks and and everything that goes with him. I am also a fan the Master Piece Theater and seeing Poirot come to life.

My fav fictional Monster - hmm I would have to say the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Man from Ghost Busters. He was freaky and scared the crap out of my for many nights after watching the movie.

Tell me what your favorite fictional vehicle is, absolutely no real pictures of boring cars! Pics of interesting vehicles only, the more outlandish the better. (I am opting out of this one as my choices are pretty boring lol)

favorite fictional rogue is - I do not think I have one.

If you were a truck, what kind of truck would you be, and why? - I would be a lifted S-10 - small but sturdy. And I have one. lol.

As for any of the Ultima game. I must say I have never had the chance to play any of them. I am more of an adventure game girl. Though I do like some RPG games. I will have to give it a chance. From the images and description I just checked it they seems very interesting.

I'm in for Sage, please.

My favorite monster is Alien: smart, efficient and elegant in its design.

And I need to give some thought for the other questions.

Thank Ragnarblackmane very much for the giveaway!

I'M IN!

My favorite fictional detective is Hercule Poirot. David Suchet has ruined any lesser Poirot portrayal for me.

Cheers to that.

It warms my heart to see a lot of entries on behalf of other people, but I'd still love to see some more entries in general, so don't be shy folks. Feel free to PM the link to this GA to other goglodytes that may not have seen it yet.

Nah, most are busy trying to give away TW2, others hang out in the Fall Sale Tracker Thread, and others... well, have gone to bed!
