Wheel of Time.

What a great game.. I never got around to playing it that much.. but when I did it was a ton of fun.

I want to support the developers in some way, and GOG looks like the best bet.

The game is well worth it, and if it was on GOG, it could resurrect the all but dead multiplayer.

There is usually 1-4 people online.

Please GOG, make this happen!
Another few thousand games that various people believe deserve to be on GOG, please vote for it there.

That said, I agree, I'd buy it within the hour of it appearing.

I already voted for it.

Just wanted to know if people on the forums agree with my post. :)
Agree on this game's greatness. I have it perm-installed and still play it rather frequently. I voted it for it anyway hoping that GoG would deliver it to the masses.

Ah thanks, I didn't seem to be able to find this wanted place anymore... I'd be much interested in Dune. Already have it but always fearing to lose it...

Is this game based on Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time novels? If so, I want this game!

It is, it's a kinda ok Unreal Engine FPS.

FPS isn't my preferred genre. But if the story and mechanics are good I might have to give it a go.
.

I'd heard that Red Eagle Games had gotten the license for WoT games and movies. And that Obsidan would make a WoT RPG. But I haven't heard anything new from Red Eagle for almost 2 years! But last year I did read an interview from Obsidians CEO that made me think the WoT project was still active. What the heck is happening with it! Perhaps they wait until the final book is released this fall/or early 2012.
Wheel of Time is not exactly a FPS. It was developed by Legend Entertainment, the company that was mostly specializing in adventure games and it shows. It was their last adventure game though, and the next couple of games were indeed FPSs, including Unreal 2.
The sad thing about Legend is that about half of their games are based on literary IPs which makes it unlikely for the to appear here due to the licensing. OTOH, who knows, I did not expect to see AD&D titles here either.

It is.. and the game is pretty damn good.. when I can get it to work.
Honestly, why do people whine so much about these wish threads? It's way better than the wishlist, and we can actually TALK about the game here rather than just throw one vote into a basket a millions of votes in other games.

Because they clutter up the forum over something with a more appropriate location and have precisely no more impact on future games than the wishlist does.

Plus, most of the folks that post them are posting them because they don't know about the wishlist and it's not just one long topic on games that we want, like some of the other topics, it's myriad small topics which come and go regularly.

I know about the wishlist, the point of the topic was because I wanted to know if people from the forums in general wanted the game.
I've never played the game and I'm not very familiar with it so it's not on my wishlist for release. More games never hurt though so if it released and here and looked good I would buy it. Also I didn't know there was a WoT game.
