Anyone played this? Any good?

It looks rather like Dungeon Keeper, but with dwarves - both of which are things I like. Also like it might be a simplified Dwarf Fortress, which I admire from a distance but haven't managed to break in to yet...
Have it since Pre-Order but had no time yet to play it... maybe this evening :)
I was curious about this game, too.

Watching the Yogscast gameplay helped me get a much better idea of what the game's like. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnmYsy9q4BY)

It does look quite a bit like a simplified Dwarf Fortress, which should be pretty cool.
It requires DirectX 10 , so I can't tell -.-
It's...kinda boring. I was in the beta for it and I wasn't too impressed. The dwarfs' personalities only go so far in making the game enjoyable. It's just too slow with too little to work towards, and last I remember, you can't build on the surface, even though you can scroll to the surface where it taunts you. :<

EDIT: Oh, it has DLC, just in case you don't supporting DLC-laden games.

Oh does it? Hadn't noticed that...

Am in-between personal machines at the moment, so do my gaming on my work laptop - which is sadly still running Windows XP for now...
Thanks everyone else for the replies. I might try to crack open Dwarf Fortress tomorrow, wish me luck!

Yep, it requires SM 4.0 and DirectX 10. It's kinda weird for the game looking like that, but I asked them, and they replied me - the engine they bought doesn't support DirectX 9.0c , so, well...
Between this, Gnomoria and DF with some massive enhancements (probably in the form of LazyNewbPack), you have all your gnome/dwarf bases covered.

What?! Not without 2 Fast 4 Gnomz, you don't!

Aww... :(
Steer around Krater - it's Direct X 10 or later as well.
Alright, played it yesterday and it is quite nice.

Yes, it plays a bit like dungeon keeper, but with the difference that you can Dig in 3 Dimensions and you have to hire your dwarfs and give them professions. They do level up while doing their tasks to work even harder.

Overall, the game could be more polished and resources could be used better (runs very slow on my system and I play Skyrim with high settings), but if you enjoy sch management games, you will not do anything wrong. :)
