I ran across a game called A Farewell to Dragons on Steam and was wonderining if any of you had any experience with it. It looks interesting, but reviews are few and far between, and reviewers have a tendency to be harsh with old-school RPGs anyway.

I am kind of ashamed to admit this, but I have had it in my queue for a couple of months now along with a bunch of others games I've gotten on sale and just have not gotten around to it yet.

The was some talk of it over at RPGWatch, opinions seemed somewhat mixed but mildly favorable with some caveats.

Oh and if you aren't opposed to buying it somewhere other than Steam you can get it even cheaper @ $4.49

I'd never heard of this game either, but I like the look of it Gamer's Gate has quite a few player reviews, you might want to check them out.

Thanks for the cheaper link. I think I'll be going with that version, it'll definitely save me a few bucks, and at 4.49, it's worth a shot.

I found that link off of http://www.deals4downloads.com

I always check there before buying any games online.
A couple of threads I can find:

It's camera is so ungodly annoying I couldn't stand it. Isometric game, with a free-floating camera completely independent of your character.

Otherwise, it seemed decent.
